🚨You may have noticed some Sandals Resorts have NEW names!

As of October 21, Sandals has officially updated the names of several resorts across the Caribbean, introducing a more consistent naming format that makes it easier to identify exactly where each resort is located.

A few of the biggest changes include:

🏝️ Sandals Royal Bahamian → Sandals Bahamas Nassau
🇯🇲 Sandals Montego Bay → Sandals Jamaica Montego Bay
🌴 Sandals Royal Caribbean → Sandals Jamaica Caribbean Cay
🌊 Sandals South Coast → Sandals Jamaica South Coast
☀️ Sandals Ochi Beach Resort → Sandals Jamaica Ocho Rios
🌺 Sandals Grande St. Lucian → Sandals St. Lucia Grand Bay

And those are just a few of the changes.

Don’t worry if you already have a vacation booked; existing reservations are unaffected by the name changes.

So if you see a new Sandals name while planning your next Caribbean getaway, it may actually be a resort you already know and love!

🚨 BIG dining changes are coming to Carnival Cruise Line!

Carnival has revealed “The Next Course,” a new culinary strategy bringing new restaurants, bars, menus, and dining services to its upcoming ships AND changes across its existing 29-ship fleet.

Four new restaurants are planned for Carnival Festivale, debuting in 2027, and Carnival Tropicale, coming in 2028: Emeril’s Coastal Seafood, Uku Lei Lei, Fetaccine and Bistro Musicale. The concepts range from coastal seafood and Hawaiian-Asian flavors to Mediterranean and French cuisine.

But existing ships are getting changes too. Carnival has adjusted dining times and introduced Express Dining, a shorter three-course dinner designed for guests who want to get back to their evening plans faster.

New menu items include Beef Wellington, duo of lamb, bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin, chicken and waffles, plus additional family-friendly and health-conscious choices. And don't worry, favorites including chocolate melting cake aren't going anywhere. 👀

🚨 BIG changes are coming to JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar in Jamaica!

The adults-only, all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay will reopen December 1 after a major six-month transformation. The 295-suite resort is being reimagined from its accommodations and terraces to its restaurants, bars, pools, and beachfront spaces.

Guests can expect redesigned suites, including swim-out accommodations, plus renewed social spaces and a refreshed culinary experience featuring Jamaican and international flavors.

And it’s still keeping what makes JOIA unique: an 18+ adults-only experience, with butler service available in select accommodations.

🚨The Disney Dream is BACK in Florida!

After spending the summer sailing around Europe, the Disney Dream has officially returned to Fort Lauderdale for a new season of 3- to 7-night cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean.

Sailings include stops at Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, plus destinations including Nassau, Puerto Plata, Tortola and St. Maarten.

And in 2027, the Disney Dream will have even more options, with sailings from San Juan beginning in April before heading to Port Canaveral for the summer.

Clean with very comfortable beds, but the rooms felt small and the bathroom was pretty dark. The rooms were probably my biggest disappointment with the resort.

Staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely incredible! ❤️ The staff truly MADE our vacation. Some of the sweetest, most attentive people we’ve ever met at a resort.

Ocean/Beach ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous, calm Caribbean water—the kind of water you come to the Dominican Republic hoping to see. 🌊🌴

SO good! Honestly, some of the best room service we’ve had at an all-inclusive.

Fantastic! We were constantly being checked on and never felt like we had to hunt someone down for service.

This is definitely a more laid-back resort. There wasn’t a lot of activity around the pools, so if you want a high-energy pool scene or activities going all day, this probably isn’t the resort for you.

Resort Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very relaxed and chill—not a party atmosphere. Speakers aren’t allowed at the pools or beach, which keeps things peaceful. I also loved the little extras they provide, including complimentary sunscreen, after-sun lotion and water. ☀️

Wi-Fi ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A little spotty at the beach, but worked fine everywhere else.

Overall Value ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very good overall value, especially considering the incredible staff, food, drinks, service and beautiful Caribbean water.

✈️ Would I Send My Clients Here?

YES! ❤️ Especially clients looking for a relaxing, laid-back vacation who aren’t looking for a party resort.

If you want loud music, a high-energy pool scene and activities happening constantly, I’d match you with a different resort. But if you want to relax, enjoy beautiful Caribbean water, eat and drink well, and be completely spoiled by an incredible staff, Secrets La Romana is absolutely one I would recommend. 🌴🇩🇴

And THAT is why using a travel advisor matters—there isn’t one “perfect” resort. It’s about finding the perfect resort for YOU. ❤️
