Update: We’ve learned that several large trees have fallen on the property, but by some incredible luck, none hit the house. While we face a lot of debris cleanup and significant fence repairs, we are deeply aware that others in our community have lost so much—their homes, loved ones, and livelihoods. We feel incredibly fortunate in comparison.

We have paused our calendar and will keep you all updated when things improve enough in the area to invite guests back.

We deeply appreciate everyone who’s checked on us after Hurricane Helene.

Our community, like many others in western NC, is still in search and rescue mode. Beech Mountain remains largely cut off by road, and many are working hard to locate loved ones and deliver supplies.

Though we can’t physically help from Raleigh yet, we’re inspired by how the Beech Mountain community has rallied together—checking on neighbors, sharing supplies, and clearing roads. The collective support has been nothing short of amazing! This is why we love Beech Mountain’s people, businesses, and community.

We don’t yet know the status of the Beech Tree Hideaway, as we’re focused on allowing rescue teams to do their critical work.

A beautiful weekend in Beech Mountain, North Carolina!
We love having adventures from the house without having to jump in a car — this morning we hiked 2.5 miles from Beech Tree Hideaway to this spot through the Creek Trail and Forks Trail (and then another 2.5 back!)
