Confession: haunted houses are not my thing. 😅

But Halloween Horror Nights? I still recommend it to every family with teens who love Halloween — because even from the outside, the energy is unmatched.

👻10 haunted houses

👻Scare zones everywhere

👻 Entirely different side of Universal after dark.

If your kids are past the character-breakfast stage and craving something with an actual adrenaline rush, this is it. I'll leave the scares to them and handle all the planning instead. 🎃

I design family trips that blend learning with play, keeping kids and parents inspired.

Think gladiator training in Italy, Ziplining over canopies in Costa Rica, Samurai sword experiences in Japan, and Harry Potter tours in London.

Let me inspire your family with your next family trip to somewhere new.

We took snack sampling very seriously at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. 🎃 Here's what we tried — CANDY.

Honestly, we had the best intentions of trying a bunch of snacks.

We did our research.

We had our list ready.

And then…we had SO MUCH CANDY!

So, don’t feel like you have to spend extra $$ on the specialty treats. Everyone will be happy with what’s already in their Halloween Bag 😬

⛈️Do you have a backup plan if Hurricane hits during your fall travel dates? Here’s what I’d do:

Have backup dates in mind to modify my trip.

Purchase air tickets I can change dates or cancel for a refund.

Invest in a travel protection policy that covers hurricanes.

Confirm the cancellation policy.

☔️If you’re already in destination..

Gather extra snacks and bottles of water.

Buy flashlights and extra batteries.

Stay in your room and follow the directions of the resort!

Fall travel is typically a more affordable time to travel because it’s hurricane season!

I help you make sure you’re prepared and make changes if we need to! Reach out to me to plan your next trip!

Every Disney trip we take is different.
Last month we had SO many firsts to make this trip special.

🩵 Mia's first roller coaster...and then 3 more!
🩵 Luca LOVING roller coasters...and trying 3 new ones!
🩵 Eliana's first time on Flight of Passage.
🩵 Minnie Van service to/from the airport...this was amazing. Not sure I can do it any other way from now on!
🩵 The HEAT...in August. Brutal, but we found ways to make it tolerable. Sort of.

PLUS - we checked out newly refurbished and newly opened attractions!

"You never take the same kid on vacation twice." This hit me hard this trip. Seeing my kids try new things and be excited about attractions that once made them nervous? My heart was bursting witnessing their love for Disney, and realizing how much they are growing.

How many more trips will we take before they *maybe* don't believe in the magic? Hopefully they always will ❤️.

Seasonal parties at Walt Disney World can be a lot of fun…and a big upgrade to your trip. You need to have a strategy before you leave your resort.

Last month we went to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Here’s what works for us:

🎃 Arrive to the park around 4:30pm.

The lines are LONG if you arrive before 4, by 4:30 there were no lines to enter.

🎃 Plan to experience ONE land in Magic Kingdom.

We chose Adventureland. We had already experienced Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Frontierland on our long Magic Kingdom park day.

Plus, Adventureland only has a few attractions - we experienced Pirates of the Caribbean, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, Swiss Family Treehouse, and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. We could have gone to Jungle Cruise (the wait was only 30 minutes)…but we wanted to start Trick-or-Treating.

We really enjoy Pecos Bill, so we could have dinner nearby.

There were several trick-or-treat stations here so we knew we’d be ready to go when it started!

🎃 We secured our parade spot an hour early!

We chose to view the parade from Frontierland. This area is SO much less crowded than Main St…and we knew we wouldn’t stay for the Fireworks!

After the parade passed us, we walked through the Emporium shops to avoid the crowds on Main St (and enjoy AC), and actually watched parts of the parade again as it was finishing up on Main St!

👻 SAVE this post for your next visit to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! 🤍

If you think Disney Halloween parties are just about costumes and candy, wait until you see the entertainment. 🎃

👻Our favorite is the Mickey’s Boo to You Parade.

- With little ones who aren’t into the scary side of Halloween (or fireworks), this was our big focus.

- We found our spot for the parade at 7:15…an hour before the parade start!

- We switched off on bathroom breaks + trick or treating.

- Kids enjoyed their candy while we waited 🍬

This is a conversation I have with almost every client that plans a Walt Disney World Vacation 🏰.

This is what you should know:

➡️ Under 6? Bring one. Disney days are long, walking adds up fast, and a tired toddler can turn into a meltdown fast.

➡️ Ages 6-8? It depends on your kid and your pace. Some are ready to walk all day, others still need a place to rest between rides (and it doubles as a great spot for bags, snacks, and souvenirs). Plus, at the end of the day, it’s a great place for them to rest.

➡️ 9+ or a shorter trip? You can probably skip it — just plan in some rest breaks and comfortable shoes.

There's no one-size-fits-all answer, but there is a right answer for your family.
