Rubber ducky your the one!

Reason 16/60: Bellaire Rubber Ducky Festival

Thirty six years ago, on the third weekend of August, the tradition of the Rubber Ducky festival began in downtown Bellaire.

Each year, the grand finale of the parade is a front end loader carrying over 2000 rubber ducks to the Intermediate River. The ducks getting dumped into the river signals the end of the parade and the beginning of their race to the finish.

Live entertainment, an arts and craft show, kids games and a 5k race round out this action-packed weekend. Join us this weekend in downtown Bellaire. More details available at bellairechamber.org.
