Our boating guests visiting the cabin can look forward to a new foodie experience at the Torch Lake Sandbar, which will also provide a reliable source of ice . Ice cream for kiddos! Can’t wait to meet you Jennifer
Hey everyone! My name is Jennifer Thompson and I’m excited to introduce myself as the owner of Bayou Barge, the newest food boat coming to the Torch Lake Sandbar this spring and summer!
For the last 22 years, I’ve lived and raised my family in Northern Michigan, falling in love with the incredible nature that surrounds us. One of the greatest blessings of living here is the abundance of freshwater, not just for its beauty but for the endless recreation it provides. There’s nothing quite like a Michigan summer on the lake, and I’m thrilled to add a little extra flavor to it this year!
The name Bayou Barge comes from my southern roots, and when you stop by for a bite, you’ll be sure to taste a little of that Southern-inspired goodness in the food. We’ve got something for all ages from grilled cheese and snacks for the littles to juicy burgers and shrimp skewers for the biggers. And on those hot, sunny Northern Michigan days, we’ve got you covered with ice cream cones and popsicles!
Need ice? We’ll have bags of ice available for purchase so you can keep your drinks cold for those long days on the lake.
So whether you’re boating or just walking right out to the sandbar, stop by, grab a bite, and enjoy some Southern charm with a smile. I can’t wait to meet you all and share the best of summer with you on The Bayou Barge!
Like, follow, share, and spread the word! See y’all on the water!
