Squalicum Yacht Club Squalicum Yacht Club is located in Bellingham, WA. We hold monthly potluck meetings at our clubhouse and cruise the San Juan Islands every summer.

Okay, I'm not positive it was a record-setting BBQ, but if it wasn't, it had to have been close at 32 members attending last night. We had a very welcome surprise visit from Marin and Ruth, Lori showed up after her winter sojourns in Arizona, and Tom and Julie are back in Washington and rocking a new boat that they debuted at Deer Harbor. It was a perfect night for BBQing and visiting.

To top it off, the salads and desserts were incredible! It's a toss-up whether the salads topped the desserts or vice versa. I'm hoping everybody brings the exact same dish next month so I can eat all of those tasty dishes again. Thank you, Marvin and Jill, for hosting.

Another fun cruise to Deer Harbor! Barge get together on Thursday and a walk to Matthew’s Smokehouse for dinner on the deck Friday. Forcasted rain held off until late Friday. Eight boats and two couples via ferry made for a great outing!

Sorry for the delay in posting…SYC had a great turn out for our Opening Day Breakfast on May 3rd. Thanks to all the volunteers for helping to make this happen every year. We had a splendid turnout for our Christmas/Holiday Party, Saturday December 14th. The food was tasty, there was wonderful comradery and another great show by the Bellingham Showstoppers! A bit of research by our Vice Commodore Joyce, discovered that having them entertain SYC for our holiday party was a tradition which began 34 years ago!

A great time this weekend at Sucia Island for our Squalicum Yacht Club annual work party! A big thanks to all the SYC participants and a big thanks to Flounder Bay Yacht Club for joining us this year! Several projects requested by the Park Ranger Steve Sabine were completed and fun was had by all. Appetizers Friday evening and a fabulous (and tasty) potluck Saturday night with both clubs. A big thanks to Margo and Paul Graf for hosting with help from Kristy and Rocky Champagne.
