Squalicum Yacht Club is located in Bellingham, WA. We hold monthly potluck meetings at our clubhouse and cruise the San Juan Islands every summer.

We had a splendid turnout for our Christmas/Holiday Party, Saturday December 14th. The food was tasty, there was wonderful comradery and another great show by the Bellingham Showstoppers! A bit of research by our Vice Commodore Joyce, discovered that having them entertain SYC for our holiday party was a tradition which began 34 years ago!

A great time this weekend at Sucia Island for our Squalicum Yacht Club annual work party! A big thanks to all the SYC participants and a big thanks to Flounder Bay Yacht Club for joining us this year! Several projects requested by the Park Ranger Steve Sabine were completed and fun was had by all. Appetizers Friday evening and a fabulous (and tasty) potluck Saturday night with both clubs. A big thanks to Margo and Paul Graf for hosting with help from Kristy and Rocky Champagne.

Fun cruise to Fisherman’s Bay despite the rain, a big thanks to Sharon and Rob for hosting! The Sunday morning muffins and coffee were a real treat!

A great time in Garrison Bay on anchor with our cocktail hour and potluck on shore at English Camp. Thanks to Larry Grunden for hosting with unofficial help from Wade’s trolley and Janine and Nick’s dinghy. Fabulous cakes from Susan Dean and Larry made for a nice wrap up to dinner! If you look closely at the view of the boats at night you can see the Big Dipper in the beautiful night sky.

Great fun on our cruise outing to Deer Harbor!! Thursday night hors d’oeuvres on the party barge and Friday night dinner at Matthew’s Smokehouse! We had 10 boats plus 3 couples that joined by ferry. Gorgeous weather as well🥰

Shakedown cruise was a blast! So fun “hooking up” with those who came out yesterday! Rob and Phil had the drones going so a different direction viewpoint this year. Phil and I are looking forward to using it more in the future on our cruises. Thanks Steve, for photos as well!
