How fitting that it's National Dog Day... Check out these whale watching dogs! These are the T109A's from last week. They were a fun watch. We also got to be first on scene and ID the T36's later in the trip!

Well it's another day of lots of whales right in Bellingham Bay today. These are pics from a couple weeks ago of some transients doing cartwheels and probably hunting just off of Marine Park. Today they were all over, from right by the boat when we took off, to Larrabee Park and beyond.

Wow, the whales keep coming. We saw multiple T-Party meet ups of transient whale pods last week! We were also alone on scene with this humpback and got the chance to ID him with our shots! This is Dreamers 2021 calf, fluking reliably, and even giving us a rare side glimpse. The whale season is still going strong! Wildlife blog at: whales.com/?p=7095

There are two more chances this year to see puffins on our bird watching cruises! Leaving Thursdays at 10am, we head to Smith Island in search of puffins, and checking out lots of birds and other wildlife down and back. A picnic style lunch of a chicken Ceasar wrap with tasty snacks is included, with full bar service available for purchase as well. Photos are from one of our cruises this year, where we saw a Great blue haron, Bald eagles, osprey, a large brief of pelicans, and several puffins! $99 and 6-7 hours on the water.

We were lucky with some fun activity from orcas last week: from the T77's being playful, pictured here, to a 10 whale T-Party doing all the fun things, as well as finding a couple humpbacks ourselves.

Wow, we're still realing from last week when this mash up of T36's/37's mobbed right under our boat before the w**e cruise. Here's some shots of them in the Bay during that cruise. They were pretty fun and active. Close passes and headstands.
And a write up of our awesome daily experiences too.

Thanks Lin for snagging a snap of the infamous horned puffin! While there are plenty of tufted puffins around Smith Island, there is a lone horned puffin hanging around too. Try your luck tracking him down with us on Thursdays at 10am.

Another great week of whale watching brought us more time with the T100's and rarer visitors to the area, T30 A&C Sequoia and Salix. We saw Zephyr and Scratchy the humpbacks too. These are the T100's cruising around Patos Island Lighthouse. whales.com/sequoia-salix/
