Today the very talented put our logo on the window, the same logo she designed 9 years ago! When I asked her to design a logo for my business, I knew I wanted something that could stand alone and be easily recognizable even without the words. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED Gail! People are stopping by the shop just to admire this beautiful logo! I’m so stoked to have it welcome people to my new shop!

🌅 The end of this dreary rainy day gifted us with the most beautiful sunset. To say I’m grateful in this moment is an understatement. I’m not sure I even have words for how I feel, but it’s finally starting to sink in exactly how far I’ve come.

Another busy day at the shop and somehow we’re checking things off the list faster than I thought possible 🛶✨

One of my favorite parts of this whole process has been all the people stopping by to say hi and see what’s happening. If you’re in the area, don’t be shy — pop in, take a peek around, and say hello 👋

Huge thanks to from for dropping off an incredibly beautiful sandwich board highlighting all of the amazing events and activities they have going on this year 🌊🐟 Be sure to check them out and support this awesome organization doing so much for our community.

Also, honorable mention to for bringing by some stunning artwork for our gallery wall 🎨 Her work is incredible and we’re so excited to have it featured in the shop.

And finally… a very important shoutout to my friend Derick for fixing the witches stairs 🧙‍♀️🪜 Truly out here doing the lord’s work 🙏🏻

Things are moving fast over here at Dragonfly Outfitters 🛶✨

We’ve had so many friends stop by to say hi that I’m honestly surprised we’ve gotten anything accomplished 😜 But a few good distractions never hurt anyone 😉

Today I was reminded that we only moved into the shop 4.5 days ago… which honestly feels impossible with how much has already happened. The front rooms are painted, gear is rolling in, and little by little the vision is coming to life.

We’re so excited to show you what we’ve been building. It’s honestly hard to put into words, so you may just have to come see for yourself 👀

From kayaks and paddle gear to apparel that can take you straight from the harbor to dinner 🌊🍻 — we’ve got you covered.

Tomorrow morning, 12/13, we’ll be collecting supplies to bring up to Nooksack for distribution into the hardest hit communities of this devastating flood. If you’d like to donate, please drop off items between 8-10 AM to 3125 Mercer Ave, unit 101.

Items needed:

Cleaning supplies, especially bleach
Rags and towels
Large heavy duty storage bins
Heavy duty garbage bags
Bottled water

My guess is other items will be helpful, like blankets and space heaters, non perishable food items and baby items.

Please reach out if you’d like to donate but need to drop off at another time. I’ll likely make another trip out on Sunday morning as well.

This is my happy place. I hope you are all having a beautiful and restful autumn season, preparing to move into the “Big Dark” with friends, family or whatever brings you warmth and comfort. Sometimes it’s just the sun shining on a cold day for me, and I’d be remiss to not get out and enjoy it 🍂🌊🌅
