About Us

Dragonhead Retreat is a 25-acre nature retreat in the heart of North East Texas, offering guests a peaceful escape surrounded by art, nature, and starlit skies. We host travelers of all ages and backgrounds for memorable stays, scenic hikes, and quiet moments in a safe, inclusive space.

The Role

We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Freelance Photographer to visually capture the unique spirit of our retreat. You’ll photograph our property, lodging, events, and (with permission) guests, as well as assist with drone and video content. Experience with vacation rental photography and drone operation is highly preferred.
👉 This is also a great opportunity for college students looking to build a real-world portfolio.

Responsibilities
• Capture high-quality images of property, lodging, and events
• Photograph vacation rentals for marketing & booking platforms
• Operate drones for aerial photography and video
• Edit and enhance images to align with brand standards
• Assist with video content creation for social media and marketing
• Collaborate with our marketing team to plan visual campaigns

Qualifications
• Strong photography & editing skills with a professional portfolio
• Bonus: Experience photographing vacation rentals
• Skilled in drone operation and aerial videography
• Excellent communication & collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Bonus: Experience with digital marketing and social media content creation
• Open to college students eager to gain hands-on experience and build a portfolio
