Hello RideADV. So maybe you have seen a video about using Zip-ties when installing a new tire? Well I did and I decided to give it a try. So I used smaller ties rather than large ones and I did the front first.
No pics of the front as it went on so quick and easy I thought it was just the tire being soft (Dunlop 606). When I started the rear I took a few pics, as you can see, and went through the process. I spaced the ties about 10 inches apart and worked my way around the tire (Dunlop Rally Raid).
There are a lot of videos on this already, so I won't go into detail but, although the big rear was a little tough, when I was finished, I noticed it took me a lot less time because I installed both beads at the same time.
I cut the ties, pulled them out and done. The white you see if baby powder, my lubricant of choice inside tires using tubes. The orange ties are to hold the spokes because this is a brand new wheel. Until I break the wheels in and check spoke torque, I like to use the ties to insure a loose spoke does not puncture the tube.
hope this is helpful, see you out there!
