🎓AHP is BACK-with a fresh new focus! 🎓

After a beautiful sabbatical, I’m officially reopening my photography business but with a new direction and focus: I’m now exclusively photographing high school seniors.

This decision comes straight from the heart — as a elementary school teacher, I see the beginning of the journey in the classroom. Now, I get to celebrate the finish line with you. Capturing the story, the strength, and the spirit of seniors is exactly where I’m meant to be.
So, to the Class of 2026 — it’s your time.

To my amazing clients and friends,

AHP has some news.
I wanted to let you know that I will be taking a year long pause-a sabbatical if you will for the 2023 year.

This decision was a really hard one to make because I truly love capturing your family and feel so blessed you continue to choose me year after year. With my kids at such a busy and exciting time in their lives and balancing teaching, I want to take some time to figure out our schedules moving forward. 🤗

As always, it’s such an honor capturing your family and I can’t wait to see you in 2024!

Ahhh…here we go again with another full circle senior! 😭 From the moment this girl entered my third grade classroom it was evident she had a heart of gold. She is an encourager, extremely kind and understanding and is always the one who seeks joy and humor all situations. Congratulations Miranda, it’s been a honor watching you grow up!

Here we go…another full circle senior! 😭 ✏️ I have had the amazing privilege of meeting Makhena on her first day of school as a kindergartner and then again as a third grader. Now, here she is…a senior!!

Sweet Makhena, you are going to move mountains. Your kind heart, amazing talents and determined spirit will take you far in this world. It has been such an honor watching you grow up and I will always be cheering you on every step of the way. Congratulations!

Oh my goodness...it’s happening!!
I am now photographing seniors in high school that were my students. 😭 What a gift to be able to meet them as they started their education and then celebrate their accomplishment of graduating in such a special way. My teacher heart (and photog!) heart is bursting with pride for these amazing young men and women.

Logan, from the moment you entered my classroom in kindergarten, it has been an honor watching you grow up. From your amazing dance moves to your driven and kind heart, you will continue to do amazing things in this world. I have been, and will always continue cheering you on. Congratulations on your senior year!

Also, thanks for making me feel really old. 🙄🤣

✨Attention High School Seniors!! ✨

This is your little reminder to get your senior portraits scheduled! Many portraits are due to the school year book by the new year, if not sooner. These sessions are so, so special and as a teacher makes me beam with pride capturing it all.

Speaking of teaching, the most amazing thing has happened to me this season in capturing seniors and I can’t wait to share. 😭

So get those sessions scheduled, it’s so important to capture this exciting time in your life!
