🌲 Benham Falls Trail – Bend, Oregon 🌊
Just a short drive from Bend or Sunriver, the Benham Falls Trail offers an easy and scenic hike along the Deschutes River. This 1.7-mile out-and-back trail features a gentle 62-foot elevation gain and typically takes about 30–40 minutes to complete.

The trail meanders through lush forests of ponderosa pine and ancient lava flows, leading to Benham Falls—the largest waterfall on the upper Deschutes River. While not a towering cascade, the falls are a series of powerful Class 5 rapids that churn through a narrow gorge, offering a dramatic and picturesque view.

Best Time to Visit: April through November; spring months (March–May) offer the most dramatic water flow due to rain and snowmelt.
