The Moab area has SO MUCH to offer. The many times we've been there, we didn't have a chance to get off the beaten path much until now. I'm sure we didn't even scrape the surface! Even had time for some photography. Sometimes getting close to a subject like Delicate Arch in Arches NP makes an awesome image. However, sometimes going wide and taking in the entire landscape makes an even more spectacular image. In this case, I absolutely love the wide look!

The Chocolate Bars, Maze District of Canyonlands National Park. An AMAZING place, where you'll rarely find another soul. Extremely difficult to reach, requiring a 2-day 4x4 drive, straddling rocks, crevices, steep dropoffs and places that make you say "OH SH*T". But oh, so worth it. This utterly remote section of the park limits visitors and they even inspect your gear to make sure you can survive the journey and have the needed supplies and equipment (BTW, you get stuck out there, it's a minimum $2500 to come get you out!!!). You also have to check in and check back out when you return. I got the pleasure of going out there with world renowned photographer and great friend Mitch Dobrowner for an adventure I'll never forget (Thanks Mitch!!!).

More fun back by the Tetons at the Moulton barn on Mormon row. Such a photogenic place! Every time we go there, it's different in subtle ways!
