🚨 Important Travel Update – Spirit Airlines 🚨

As of today (May 2, 2026), Spirit Airlines has officially stopped all operations. This means all upcoming Spirit flights are canceled, and they are not able to rebook passengers on other airlines.

Here’s what you need to do right now:

✈️ Do NOT go to the airport
There are no Spirit staff available to assist, and no flights will be operating through them.

💳 Check your refund status
If you booked directly with Spirit using a credit or debit card, refunds are expected to be processed automatically.

📸 Save your travel info
Take screenshots of your itinerary, confirmation number, and cancellation notice, this will help if you need to file a claim or dispute.

🔁 Book a new flight ASAP
Other airlines may offer “rescue fares” (discounted flights for stranded travelers), but availability will go fast.

💰 Refund Breakdown:

• Credit/Debit Card Purchases:
Refunds should process automatically. If you don’t see it within 7–10 days, contact your bank to dispute the charge (“services not rendered”).

• Booked through Expedia or a Travel Agent:
You’ll need to contact the company you booked through directly to request your refund.

• Points or Vouchers:
These will be handled through bankruptcy court, and unfortunately, recovery is unlikely.

• Travel Insurance:
Check your policy for “financial default” or “insolvency” coverage. (Most standard credit card insurance does NOT cover airline shutdowns.)

⚠️Puerto Rico Travel Advisory for Excursions⚠️

Hi everyone! I wanted to share an important update for anyone traveling to Puerto Rico or with upcoming excursions booked.

Several beaches along the northern and eastern parts of the island have been closed this week due to extremely dangerous conditions, including strong currents and rip tides. While the southern coast is generally calmer when this happens, it’s still very important to follow all posted warnings and always check beach flags. 🚩
Please do not enter the water when red flags are present.

Because of these conditions, many ocean-related excursions are being affected. This includes:

-Snorkeling tours
-Underwater scooter tours
-Some bio bay tours (many are still operating, but some have been canceled)
-Other water-based activities

If you are planning to book excursions in the next few weeks or already have, please be prepared for possible cancellations. These decisions are made for safety reasons and are completely out of my control.

For my current clients with excursions booked this week and next, I’ve reached out via email with more details.

-If you’ve already paid, do not cancel on your own if you still want to go.
-If the tour company cancels, you will receive a full refund, even if it was listed as non-refundable.
-If you decide not to go, you can cancel up to 24 hours in advance.
