Participating in the "End Polio Walk" organized by Rotary today brought back my 60 + year-old memory of a dozen or more Rotary volunteers vaccinating hundreds of children at a bus-stop in India - my first encounter with Rotary International. Today India is free from polio! In 1916 polio took the lives of about 6,000 people in the U.S. and paralyzed thousands more. Along with the U.S. the entire Africa, Southeast Asia and other regions are free from Polio - Thanks to the 'End Polio' Initiative of Rotary International!

Upon invitation by the Consul General of Canada, Hon. Madeline Fequiere joined a well-organized celebration of the Black History Month that also gave the opportunity to discuss collaboration in promoting exchange between Colombia and the U.S. with the Consul General of Colombia Hon. Diego Angulo!
