🚒 CALLING ALL AREA FIRE DEPARTMENTS — WE’D LOVE TO HAVE YOU IN BENSON! 🚒

To all of my friends and contacts with fire departments across Johnston County and throughout Eastern North Carolina, I’d personally like to invite you to bring an apparatus and join us for the 2026 Benson Mule Days Parade on Saturday, September 26!

Mule Days is one of North Carolina’s largest and longest-standing parade traditions, and I would genuinely love to see a BIG showing from the fire service this year — engines, ladders, tankers, rescues, brush trucks, antiques… bring them to Benson!

🏆 The Benson Fire Department will be recognizing departments in nine different award categories, and Small World Travel & Tours is proud to sponsor and provide the trophies for all nine awards. It’s a small way for us to support the fire service and help make this part of Mule Days something special.

But more than the trophies, this is about fellowship, tradition and bringing departments together. Everyone bringing apparatus, along with family and friends riding with them in the parade, is invited to join the Benson Fire Department for lunch immediately following the parade.

🚒 Apparatus lineup is by 8:30 AM.

If you’re connected with a fire department, please share this with your chief, officers and fellow firefighters. And if you know another department that ought to be represented, tag them below!

I’d love nothing more than to look down that parade route on September 26 and see fire apparatus from departments all across North Carolina — and maybe a few from beyond!

One of the biggest things JoCo Jeep Club stands for is supporting the businesses right here in our community. When we have an opportunity to bring a parking lot full of Jeeps to a local restaurant and show them some love, that’s exactly what we want to do! ❤️

So come hungry, grab some dinner, hang out with your Jeep family, and help us show Fiesta Mexicana what the Jeep community is all about!
