We’ve been a little quiet around here lately, but I promise there’s a good reason! 🎄✈️

Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy bringing our Second Annual Jingle & Jetsets Christmas Market to life!

Between coordinating vendors, planning festive details, preparing our signature green boot mugs, and putting together the Travel Showcase, this little idea has been keeping us VERY busy!

On November 12th, we’re bringing a little European Christmas market magic to Wildwood Park for the Arts in Little Rock, complete with holiday shopping, festive treats, Glühwein, and a little travel inspiration along the way.

We’re officially less than a month away, and I can’t wait to see everything come together!

So if you’ve wondered where we’ve been, here’s a little peek at what’s been happening behind the scenes. ❤️

🌴 SNACK SUNDAY | ZANZIBAR

One of my favorite things about staying at a smaller boutique property?

Meals actually become part of the experience.

In Zanzibar, we indulged in a European Plan.

We were welcomed with fresh coconut water served straight from the coconut 🥥, and meals were enjoyed in this gorgeous open-air restaurant surrounded by palms and thatched roofs.

Fresh seafood. Simple pastas. Bruschetta piled ridiculously high with tomatoes. Dinner under the lights with the ocean just beyond the resort.

There’s something about eating outside in a place like Zanzibar that makes even a simple meal feel like an occasion.

Welcome to Peninsula Papagayo, a 1,400-acre peninsula with 11 miles of coastline, seven beaches and wildlife roaming through the trees.

The Mind-Blowing Part

This isn’t the rainforest most people picture when they think of Costa Rica.

During the dry season, many trees actually lose their leaves to conserve water. When the rains return, the landscape transforms into that intensely green Costa Rica we all recognize.

AFTERNOON TEA IN JAMAICA 🇯🇲

Yesterday, Taste the Journey took us around the world through places where tea is part of the experience.

Today, I thought I’d show you what that can actually look like when you travel.

This is afternoon tea at Sandals Royal Plantation in Jamaica.

A pot of tea. Finger sandwiches. Scones. A few sweets. White tablecloths.

The Caribbean Sea casually sitting in the background.

This is one of those resort experiences that could easily get overlooked when you’re thinking beaches, pools and cocktails in Jamaica.

BEHIND THE SCENES SATURDAY 🌿

Today was The Reconnect.

Yoga by the river. Good food. Tea blending. Creativity. Conversation. A room full of women taking a few hours to simply be present.

This morning was everything we hoped The Reconnect would be.

There was laughter, reflection, a little bit of mess 😂 and a whole lot of connection.

Seeing an idea that started as conversations between Judy and me turn into this was pretty special.

Thank you to every woman who spent her Saturday morning with us. ❤️

🇯🇲 THROWBACK THURSDAY: NEGRIL

What if your all-inclusive included more than unlimited food and drinks?

Like waking up on Seven Mile Beach.

Spending the afternoon on a catamaran.

Dinner with live entertainment.

Ending the night around the piano bar. 🎹

Then waking up and doing absolutely nothing if you want to.

That was our advisor Teresa’s experience at Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica.

The catamaran cruise she loved so much? Included.

She went to Jamaica for a destination wedding and left with another reason to go back.

Where to Go Wednesday: The Whitsundays 🌴

You cannot truly experience a place like this in a single day.

Many travelers rush through the Whitsundays on an afternoon tour, catching only a glimpse of one of Australia’s most incredible island destinations. However, this is a place worth giving a few days.

Base yourself at an island resort. Explore hidden coves. Walk the incredibly white silica sands of Whitehaven Beach. Sail between islands and experience the Great Barrier Reef.

Experience of the most incredible bucket list item when the day boats leave.

You stay. 🌌

At Hardy Reef, you can spend the night on a permanently moored pontoon on the Great Barrier Reef. Choose an open-air reefbed beneath the stars or take it even further with an underwater Reefsuite.

The next morning, you wake up on the Great Barrier Reef, with the reef right outside before the day’s visitors arrive.

Whitehaven may be the picture that first puts the Whitsundays on your radar, but this is so much more than a beach day.

LABOR DAY TRAVEL CHECK ✈️

AAA’s top Labor Day destinations this year include Seattle, Orlando, Boston, Denver and New York here in the U.S., while Rome, Vancouver, London, Dublin and Paris are leading internationally.

While Labor Day might be called the unofficial end of summer, plenty of people are spending it somewhere other than home.

We’ve been busy ourselves this weekend, We hit Louisiana for a weekend of travel softball so today has been RECOVERY 🥎

THROWBACK THURSDAY

MEXICO 🇲🇽☀️

I spent a few nights at this tented camp in Xpu Ha (near Tulum), and this was definitely not your typical Mexico resort stay. My “tent” had a king bed, air conditioning and its own tub on the deck. The property was tucked into the trees, incredibly peaceful, and just a short walk from the beach club and that gorgeous Caribbean water.

One day I hired a private driver with a loose itinerary: ruins, shopping and a cenote. At some point I basically told him to take me somewhere he would go.

That ended up being my favorite part.

He took me to a cenote he loved, became my unofficial photographer for the day, and we ended up having such a good time exploring. Sometimes having a plan is great. Sometimes giving a local permission to go off-script is even better.

A tent in the jungle, Caribbean beaches, ruins, a cenote and apparently a snake around my neck. 😂
