On this 2 to 3 hour walk through Zambezi National Park, guests join trained guides and rangers to find and remove snares that threaten the park's wildlife.

Tucked inside the Aurlandsdalen valley, known as "The Great Canyon of the North," these historic buildings have been transformed into a boutique hotel.

29|2 Aurland offers eight rooms across three distinct buildings, each with its own story. The Fisherman's Cabin, one of Aurland's oldest houses, dates back to the early 18th century. The Goat Barn blends an 18th century smokehouse with modern architecture.

Since opening in 2014, the hotel has operated according to Norwegian ecotourism principles. Here, luxury is a warm fireplace, a wood-fired hot tub, and fresh flowers in every room.

Hotel Vira Vira in the northern Lake District of Chile is an all-inclusive lodge built on a working farm along the Liucura River, with the Villarrica Volcano visible from the property.

Director of Sales Gabrielle recently visited and spent an afternoon floating the Liucura, drifting past grazing sheep and waterfowl before rounding a bend to a full view of the volcano (slide 5).

"My guide took me deep into Villarrica National Park to hike through a forest of thousand-year-old Araucaria trees, half expecting a dinosaur to emerge at any moment."

Owners Michael and Claudia Paravicini live on-site, and their farm supplies the kitchen right down to its own cheese and milk. Guests choose between 6 suites, 12 villas, and a 5-bedroom sole-use Hacienda, with a helicopter on standby every November through March for scenic flights and ski transfers. From white-water rafting to a guided ascent of the still-active Villarrica summit, there's no shortage of ways to fill the days.

During her last trip to Spain, our Operations Specialist Sarah attended a flamenco performance at one of the top venues for flamenco, Corral de la Morería in Madrid (known as tablaos).

“At its core, flamenco is a language, a conversation between the performers onstage. Every dancer brings precise footwork and a sense of duende, an untranslatable word that loosely means soul, charisma, and a deep connection to the spirit of flamenco.⁠

Big emotions. Fierce expressions. Masterful guitar, soulful singing, and lots of stomping. Even if you don't speak Spanish, the emotions of the singers, guitarists, and dancers translate all the way to the back of the tablao.⁠”

Flamenco comes together through the cante (song), the baile (dance), the toque (guitar), and the jaleos, spontaneous calls of encouragement that bring the whole performance to life.⁠
