Fun bay fishing yesterday, (Friday). Lots of quality striped bass landed. We finished up a few short of limits with lots of other bites and lost fish throughout the day. Thursdays trip we ventured up the coast and the rockfish were off of the bite for us. But we did find 14 ocean bass on the Marin coast and 4 halibut. We finished up with 21 bass, 4 halibut, 1 lingcod and a few rockfish for 15 anglers. We will start targeting more rockfish mixed with bass or halibut next month on larger tides. Striped bass has consistently been good for us the last few trips catching limits or close to limits for full boats in the bay.

We have salmon scheduled for a week straight after June 27th. After that it is a mixed schedule. There are some primo Deepwater halibut tides in July. We are still offering live bait trips during salmon season. Visit our schedule at www.happyhookersportfishing.com or call, text (510)993-4414

Our charter had pretty good striped bass action today with a handful of halibut. Overall good quality of fish. We’ve got room this Thursday for live bait on the Happy Ho**er. Striped bass fishing has been consistent in the bay this weekend. Sunday we landed 18 bass and 1 halibut. Mondays trip we landed 32 bass and 2 halibut. Still very few halibut around the central bay. Once conditions are right we will start looking in the ocean for them. I’m sure more halibut will come in the bay but everything seems late this year. We had fun fishing on the bay today, flat calm and warm most of the day. We had good striped bass action with a few halibut mixed in. We are still seeing a lot of shaker halibut in the mix. A sneaky harbor seal took 4 striped bass from us today. For 24 anglers we landed 39 bass and 3 halibut. We have open loads this week Monday and Wednesday.
