Rockfish bit well at the Islands today. Most people that were targeting them landed limits but we averaged 7 per person. We landed 23 lingcod for 17 anglers, 1 soupfin shark and 11 bonito. Starting November 7th both of our boats will be fishing Dungeness crab and rockfish combos. We still have availability the first couple weeks and Veterans Day. Give us a call at 510-993-4414. We held onto some anchovies for this special private charter we do every year on fleet week. I wasn’t sure what to expect because we haven’t fished the bay in so long. It was very good fishing. We found some striped bass in a couple of different areas that bit well and we were on a great halibut bite. We finished up with 9 limits of both halibut and bass before 12pm and watched the Blue Angels practice show for a couple of hours. Great fall fishing inside the bay.

Our next trip is tomorrow and Sunday for half rockfish lingcod and half Blue Angels air show. Light load tomorrow (Friday)

Bonito trips are on the schedule for the rest of October starting this Thursday. It’s been consistently wide open for us. We are dialed in on this fishery catching up to 175 fish per trip with potential for more. These are Pacific Bonito. So far everyone that has tried it on the boat has liked it. The fish do go into an ice slurry and are well cared for.

Epic fishing today! 166 Bonito for 15 anglers and crew (LIMITS!) and about 3/4 limits of rockfish with 5 lingcod. Our sister boat Pacific Dream landed 176 Bonita for a total of 342 Bonita.
