We spent most of our day on the rockfish grounds. Rockfish bit great and we got a pretty good shot at lingcod. We landed 35 lingcod for 24 anglers and 240 anglers. It’s that time of year we are doing a lot of coastal rockfish. The bite has been amazing on lingcod and rockfish the last 2 trips. 9 limits on Monday and 14 limits today. We’re catching quality rockfish right now and lots of big lingcod and cabezon mixed in. We spent a good half of the day in the bay for 9 striped bass and the afternoon bite we landed 30 lingcod and 110 rockfish for 14 anglers and crew. Saturdays trip was fun. We targeted striped bass in the morning then fished coastal rockfish the rest of the day. Rockfish bit well, good size and good variety of blues blacks browns vermillion and gopher rockfish. Total fish landed is 17 striped bass, 17 lingcod and 240 rockfish. We ran a fun family charter today up the north coast. Lots of kids and adults had a great time pulling in 220 rockfish and 13 lingcod. We didn’t spend a lot of time on halibut and striped bass today. We had great fishing today on the ocean. We are fishing multiple species on full price trips for the next couple of months. The rockfish bit very well today, 11 nice limits on the coast and 11 limits of good size halibut. Everyone had a great time reeling in limits of rockfish and halibut today on a flat calm ocean. 3 lingcod, 22 halibut and 111 rockfish for 11 anglers. Today’s we ran a Super Combo trip. We got on a big bass bite in the morning then fished coastal rockfish and lingcod, then ended our day with a few halibut in the bay. Today was scheduled for halibut and bass but we opted to fish rockfish in the morning. Weather was great, we limited out on lingcod and caught 3/4 limits of rockfish before switching to halibut. For 13 anglers we landed 20 jumbo halibut in the ocean, 26 lingcod and 91 rockfish ending in a great mixed bag trip. We’ve got lots of room tomorrow on our open load.
