A New Chapter for MayaWorks 💙
It's been a challenging few months for MayaWorks.
Because we ship directly from our artisan partners in Guatemala, the recent tariff period meant many of our customers had to pay duty taxes when their orders arrived. That slowed sales and, in turn, slowed opportunities for the talented weavers who depend on MayaWorks for income.
The good news? Things are looking up! Orders are beginning to grow again, and we're ready to increase production of the handcrafted pieces you love—our tallitot, clergy stoles, table runners, and more.
To meet this growing demand, we're raising $1,000 to purchase two new looms along with the heddles, reeds, and shuttles needed to put them to work.
Every donation helps create more meaningful employment, preserve traditional weaving skills, and empower artisan families in Guatemala.
If you're able, please consider making a gift today by clicking the link in the comments. Every contribution, large or small, brings us one step closer to our goal.
Thank you for believing in fair trade, handcrafted artistry, and the incredible women and families who make MayaWorks possible. We look forward to sharing more stories and updates with you in the months ahead.
