As we enter this season of reflection and gratitude, we are reminded of the importance of connection—both to one another and to the wider world. Travel can deepen understanding, spark inspiration, and remind us of our shared stake in democratic values.

To make it a bit easier to plan meaningful travel in the year ahead, We are offering $500 off any available 2026 Democracy Journey when you book through January 5.

If you’ve been considering joining us, I’d be delighted to welcome you on a journey.

Want to know what it’s like to be on a Democracy Journey? Watch our final recap from Days 7 & 8 as we close out our time in North Macedonia and the Western Balkans.

These final days took us through the ancient city of Ohrid — a place where 2,400 years of history reveal how culture, faith, and civic identity strengthen community. From exploring iconic landmarks to sharing a homemade meal with a local chef, we saw how heritage and everyday people keep democratic values alive.

We ended our journey with a hike to Samuel’s Fortress, a visit to a family-run organic winery, and a closing conversation on what it means to renew democracy — in North Macedonia and back home.

As this chapter ends, the lessons of resilience, creativity, and civic engagement stay with us.

Stay tuned for what’s next — and join us on a future Democracy Journey.
