White smoke billowed from the Chamber office recently, signalling that a new Executive Director has been chosen! Our Board of Directors has selected Matt Lewis to lead the Chamber, and he officially starts next week. He looks forward to introducing himself and meeting you all soon, and is excited about taking the Chamber to greater heights in new ways going forward. So this is my (Jim LaBelle’s :) last day and final post as the Chamber Director. The short version of my final thoughts are: Thank you so much everyone, this has been amazing, such great memories, and I can’t wait to see what our awesome community accomplishes next! With Memorial Day weekend upon us, our seasonal Chamber businesses will be open and serving customers once again. For example, Between The Tides Gift Shop in “downtown” 🙂 Biddeford Pool opens tomorrow, and congratulations to them as they celebrate their 15th anniversary this year of providing coastal gifts and treasures that make a trip to Biddeford Pool memorable. As a way of expressing their appreciation, they are having a drawing from May 23rd thru August 15th for three lucky winners for anyone who spends $25 or more during that time.
