A little dirt, a few rocks and roots, some skinny bridges, and plenty of “Dad, watch this!” moments. Days like this remind me that mountain biking isn’t really about how many miles you ride or how fast you get there. It’s about where the trail takes you and who gets to ride alongside you.

Big Bay is a pretty incredible place for a kid to discover what two wheels can do. Quiet woods, challenging little sections of trail, and enough adventure around every corner to keep both generations smiling. It fits exactly what Big Bay is about: getting outdoors, slowing life down, and connecting with the people and places that matter.

Here’s to raising the next generation of riders, explorers, and stewards—one trail ride at a time.

🎃 Trick or Treat in Big Bay! 👻

Halloween night is coming, and Big Bay is ready for the little ghosts, goblins, witches, superheroes, and creatures roaming the neighborhood!

Saturday, October 31 | 4–8 PM

🏠 Look for homes with their porch lights on — that’s your invitation to stop by for a treat.

Please keep an eye out for kids along the roads, take your time driving through the village, and help make it a fun and safe Halloween night for everyone.

Bundle up, bring a flashlight, fill those candy buckets, and enjoy a little Halloween magic—Big Bay style. 🎃🍬

Winter in Big Bay isn’t something we wait out- it’s something we get outside and enjoy. ❄️

Follow the Big Bay Pathway on cross-country skis, spend the day snowmobiling through the Superior Uplands, gather with friends on the ice, or strap on a pair of snowshoes and see where winter takes you.

In Big Bay, fresh snow means fresh possibilities, quieter trails, and another reason to unplug for a while.

Discover the waterfalls around Big Bay. From the gentle rush of Yellow Dog Falls to Pinnacle Falls, Alder Creek Falls, and the smaller cascades tucked throughout the surrounding forests, waterfall hunting is a great excuse to lace up your hiking boots and see where the trail takes you.
