Spotted at Stiglets’ Landing

This beautiful bird — an Anhinga, sometimes called a “snakebird” — was sunning itself after a dive this morning. I love how it spreads its wings to dry after fishing!

It’s just one of many incredible birds out here. The Merlin Bird ID app identified 25 species during my walk — from tiny warblers to majestic herons.

If you ever need a peaceful place to slow down and reconnect with nature, Stiglets’ Landing is a hidden gem. Bring your camera and binoculars — you never know what you’ll spot!

A few weeks back, the salt cell in our pool took a dump. We were not there at the time, and during the two weeks between visits from our PoolPro, Aaron Garlotte, it went from beautiful to nasty. He now visits our pool weekly to ensure that all is well.

Needless to say, he’s done a fine job getting it back in shape. These photos are in chronological order. The final one earlier today. This pool is so beautiful! It’s one of the things that makes The Woolmarket Inn such a special place!!

I guess thanks goes out to Todd Harrell for envisioning the pool in the first place and Aaron for keeping it sparkling clean! 👍🏻

I’m so tired of finding stuff that doesn’t work and needs replaced. Every day it’s something else. A lot of it’s just simple maintenance, but when you encounter something new daily, it gets a bit disheartening.

I think do see a light at the end of the tunnel! Right now we are aiming for a March 1 opening.
