Birmingham Trolley Tours friends…this is one of those posts that isn’t easy to write, but it comes from a very full and grateful heart.
For the past three years, it has been an absolute joy to roll through the streets of Birmingham with you…from haunted ghost tours, to Christmas light tours, to a few historical rides sprinkled in along the way. We’ve loved seeing families, couples, friend groups, and first-time visitors experience our city from the trolley. Your support, word-of-mouth, and enthusiasm have meant more to us than you know.
After a lot of prayer, conversation, and reflection, Sherri Davidson Blank and I have decided to put Birmingham Trolley Tours on temporary hiatus.
Between my full-time job, part-time speaking work across the country, and the time required to run the trolley the right way, it’s simply not financially or practically viable to do this on a true part-time basis.
That decision didn’t come lightly…but it came honestly.
The good news…this is not goodbye forever.
Our plan is to bring Birmingham Trolley Tours back around 2030 or shortly after, once I retire from my full-time role and can devote the time and energy the experience deserves. When that happens, we’ll be back with a newer trolley…and yes, one with air conditioning😄.
One more important note…the current trolley is for sale for $25,000, which is exactly what we paid for it.
There’s no markup or upcharge here…we’re simply trying to get out of it what we put into it. It would be perfect for weddings, special events, proms, photo opportunities, or as a fun specialty vehicle.
