Things Most People Don’t Know About Planning 6 Months Ahead

1. The best resort rooms go first. Not just the resort — the best room locations (close to transportation, larger rooms, better views) are often the first to disappear.
🙋‍♀️ How I can help - I know the resorts, the rooms, the spaces and places…..I make it easy to know the things you don’t and can guide you in your selection

2. Fall events sell out quickly.Special events like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party often sell out for the most popular October dates weeks or months in advance.
🙋‍♀️ How I can help- I know which days the party takes place therefore maximizing all your park days - schedule your tickets on the best days around the right meals…makes planning seamless.

3. Dining reservations open 60 days before arrival. If you want popular restaurants like Cinderella's Royal Table or Space 220 Restaurant, you need a strategy before those reservations even open.
🙋‍♀️How I can help - I do this all the time. There is something rewarding about making that reservation work for you that you and your family have on your must do list…..

4. Promotions can be applied later.Booking early doesn’t lock you out of deals. If a promotion drops later, your advisor can often apply it to your reservation.
🙋‍♀️How I can help - remember, it’s only $200 deposit that locks in the hardest part of the trip - the resort..the rest is a breeze because I can go back and add any announced promotions that may pop up and fit your plans.

5. Park strategy starts before you arrive.Lightning Lane planning, park days, and event nights work best when they’re thought through ahead of time, not the week before your trip.
🙋‍♀️ How I can help - I have worked the lightning lane system on multiple personal vacations and understand the ins and outs. I also am happy to book a VIP if you want to skip the LL system all together!

6. Flights are usually better priced earlier.Especially for fall break travel when flights fill quickly.
🙋‍♀️ How I can help - this is crucial because your arrival affects park times and dining reservations

7. You get the most availability for room types for larger families.Suites, family rooms, and villas disappear fast.
🙋‍♀️ How I can help - as a Mom planner for my family of 6 I get this the most. Earlier the better!!

Let’s get started planning TODAY for your legacy vacation!!!

Things I Would ALWAYS DO as Your Travel Advisor

There are certain expectations to working with clients that I have for myself in instilling a confidence in my clients and what I have created for them in their vacation.

Especially when it comes to planning for legacy travelers…these are my multigenerational clients who have so many moving parts.

1. I will always make a confident resort choice. Not which one is most popular; not which one is cheapest; and not even which one you think you want…..
🎉 I ask so many questions about your family and logistics and needs that I want it to feel impossible that you even question where you are staying. Things like Transportation needs, space requirements, these are non-negotiable when it comes to picking the perfect resort.

2. I will always compare Promotions so that you are getting exactly what you need and want instead of just “fitting” you into a promotion that isn’t the best value for your family.
🎉 Free Dining; Free Kids Only Dining; 30% off Rooms; Early Summer Savings ; Late Summer Savings…all these things that are flooding your socials can be overwhelming…..let me take out the guesswork!

3. I will always map out the details most clients forget
🎉 This includes a daily itinerary ; Transportation logistics ; Hotel and Air transfers; stroller rentals; booking dining; ensuring your room is in the best possible location at your resort.

4. I will always make sure we are planning for your legacy memories and not just making a “booking”.

💙 Defining Disney Dining Plans

Disney Dining 1-2-3

So after the promotion of free dining was released this week by Disney, floods of inquiries are coming in. I thought I would make a short (but detailed) post on the specifics of the Dining Plan.

1. WHO CAN PURCHASE THE Disney Dining PLAN?
Any guests who have purchased a Walt Disney World Resort Package are eligible (this excludes guests staying at Swan, Dolphin or Shades of Green)

Any Annual Pass holder who books a room only reservation can add the Dining Plan via My Disney Experience app or call into the pass holder guest services line.

2. HOW TO PURCHASE THE DINING PLAN?
With a Walt Disney World Resort Package reservation, you can add it at the time of booking. You may also opt to add it to your reservation up to 48 hrs PRIOR to resort check in. Once you have check in and are on property, you no longer have the option to add the Dining Plan to your package.

3. THERE ARE 2 TYPES OF DINING PLANS TO CHOOSE:

Standard: This includes 1 Table Service (sit down meal or buffet) 1 quick service (these are your order at the window or mobile order spots and you are given your food on a tray) 1 snack and a refillable Disney Resort Mug (this is for each guest for each NIGHT of their resort stay) example: 4 nights = 4 of the above per person

Quick Service Plan - This includes 2 Quick Service meals, 1 snack and refillable resort mug (again, per person per NIGHT of your resort stay)

You may use some of your snack credits at the Flower and Garden / Food & Wine booths - the items eligible will be indicated with a Disney Dining Plan logo on the menu.

So there you have it. The 1-2-3 of the Disney Dining Plans.

If you are interested in a Walt Disney World Vacation and want to take advantage of the FREE DINING PROMOTION or one of the other promotions Disney is offering please message me today!

🎉🎉Free Dining at Walt Disney World Resort can be one of the best promotions Disney offers for families.

🌮Meals for the whole crew already included? Yes please. 🙌

👉👉But the real value comes from pairing the promotion with the right resort, dates, and park plans so your family actually maximizes the savings.

👉 What I learned (and mistakes I made) when I planned my own Disney Vacation
(Before becoming a Travel Advisor)

🙋‍♀️ Yes…..I did attempt to plan my Disney Vacations early on without using a Travel Advisor. (MISTAKE)
Not that they weren’t fun. Not that we didn’t make memories. It was and we did.

However…….I will never do that again.

These are the top 4 things I learned (and mistakes I made) and want to share with you about planning your own Disney Vacation -

1. Daily Itinerary - No clue. We had our favorite “must do” rides — which were of course located on opposite sides of the park. We walked back and forth for days across the parks to hit every LL ride when it was available without considering the steps and time wasted.

2. Dining Reservations - We tried to eat like we normally do during meal times…..BIG no-no. Had I known that I needed to place my mobile order for snacks and lunch early in the morning - the ones that were located on our way back and forth across the park….we could have avoided some major HANGRY moments

3. FOMO Pressure. - As the planner I personally wanted to make sure they “did all of it” but whoa was that expectation blown early on. After rushing back and forth to “get to the ride”, we never really stopped to enjoy the castle, sitting and watching a stage show….or even stopping for a snack and just enjoying the park’s beauty. It is a real thing and it is not the way a vacation should be planned.

4. Resort Choice - This was HUGE — The first trip we had just my older twins (so 4 people total) but the room we chose (budget) was one big room with no privacy for Mom and Dad — plus it was located at the very back furtherest away from the lobby you could possibly get. The second time all 6 of us were together and our double stroller did not fit inside the doorway to our room. The pullout bed was a joke for my 12 year olds to share and again, we were located in the very back of the resort — long walk for morning coffee.

I want to share these off the top of my head because luckily for us they didn’t make us never want to go back….but I know that it could have been much smoother had I used a professional.

Don’t make these same mistakes !!! I would love to help you plan your next multigenerational / family Disney Destination Vacation today!!!

👉 Why I recommend a Starter Cruise.....and if it is what your family would love.🛳

😎 Many will be first time cruising clients are asking me, what type of cruise should we consider?

💙 I highly recommend a “starter” cruise, especially if it is not something you are sure you will love. (Even though I know you will)👌

A 4 night sailing can be the PERFECT intro to cruises…..and what better fleet than Disney!!

As an agent who has planned her own multigenerational cruise, not every family needs a 7 day cruise.

✅ Here is why a 4 day cruise works so well:

It is the PERFECT test run.
Having never cruised before I understand the concerns and hesitations. It’s definitely a lot to take in and think about planning for something you have never done before.
Even just understanding all the cruise “terms” can be a lesson on its own!!!
That is where I come in. I can break down the terms and help you understand the ins and outs of planning and the step by step things that are required to ensure a successful vacation!

You still get the FULL DISNEY MAGIC!!
All Disney sailings include that Disney magic: Broadway shows, fireworks, meeting characters onboard, movies on the pool deck and all the soft serve ice cream you can eat.
PLUS — Every Disney 4 day cruise itinerary includes a stop at one or both of Disney’s private Islands: Castaway Cay or Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Schedule is on target for busy families
A 4 day cruise fits nicely into a long weekend for most families and eliminates having to take off work or school for so long.

PERFECT for Multigenerational Families - Like I said, this was the one my own family took and it was perfect time for us all. Every age enjoyed and had something to do the whole time. But, it was not so long that we were overstimulated.

It can help you decide what you want on your next trip
Following a 4 day cruise can help you decide if you are cruise people or not.
It can help you decide that you need longer to enjoy and indulge….or it can assure you that 4 days is your max. Either way, it’s extremely helpful for trying something new in a reasonable timeframe.

And here’s the part most people don’t think about…
On a shorter cruise, planning matters even more. Knowing which dining time works best, which stateroom locations are ideal, and how to prioritize onboard experiences can make a big difference.

That’s where I come in.
If a Disney Cruise has been on your family’s “someday” list, a 4-night sailing might be the easiest way to start.
Sometimes the best legacy trips begin with a simple first voyage.

BIGGEST MISTAKE IN PLANNING YOUR OWN DISNEY TRIP

As a travel advisor I see and hear of more people making simple but costly mistakes when they decide to plan their own Disney trips.

I understand that they want to be in the planning, and that is wonderful, but without using a travel advisor to guide you through the things that chat GPT won’t…..that is a vacation fail.

BIGGEST mistake I hear : “I don’t want to pay extra on top of what Disney already is costing us”
Well….most people don’t realize, I do not get paid by my clients. I get paid by Disney. If you book online or you book through me, the cost is the same. Try me on this.

What happens is that you pay the same cost and lose the support that a Travel Advisor provides:
✅ picking the right resort
✅ knowing room locations
✅ watching for upcoming promotions
✅ not to mention if something falls through the cracks, we are your back up!!!

I know of clients who say, okay….I want you to be the agent but I want to help in the planning. Great! I think that is the best approach by far — hand in hand insuring a memorable vacation.

Then there are those clients who just pass the baton over and say plan it how you would plan your own…and those are super fun too!!!

But what both of these clients have in common is the fact that using me has provided a cushion of back up and another pair of eyes (with tons of experience!) in navigating the planning stages with Disney.

Let me add confidence and value to your vacation —— it won’t cost your more of anything but it will provide a peace of mind !!

Just because a Disney resort room sleeps 6 doesn’t mean it works well for 6 adults.
(I should know!! I have 6 adults!)

This is one of the biggest mistakes I see when families try to plan a trip on their own.
On paper it looks fine. Two beds, a pull-down, maybe a sofa sleeper… done, right?

My own family has 3 teenage boys —— hello big bodies….and a teenage girl…hello bathroom space.
And while in truth, there are literally 6 places to sleep…..the living portion, not so accommodating.

How?• There may only be one bathroom (impossible)• Storage space disappears with six suitcases (and those “extra” bags)• Someone is always climbing over someone else to get out of bed - which is never good• And suddenly your “dream Disney trip” feels a little… cramped. You find yourself now waiting in lines in your own resort room !!

For multigenerational or adult family trips, the right resort layout matters more than people realize.
Sometimes the best solution isn’t squeezing everyone into one room. It might be:✔ A family suite✔ A villa with multiple bathrooms✔ Connecting rooms in the right resort
When you’re planning a Disney trip with all adults, the goal isn’t just to fit everyone… it’s to make sure everyone actually enjoys the stay.

That’s where working with a planner who knows the room layouts, resort differences, and hidden options makes all the difference.
If you’re planning a Disney trip with 4–6 adults, send me a message — I’ll help you pick a resort that actually works for your group. ✨🏰

Free Dining at Disney ....Why its not always the best option....

Yes! It’s back!! The famous free dining plan promotion with Walt Disney World Packages!!

Every time Disney announces a Free Dining promotion clients feel like they need to grab it while they can….And I get it — it sounds like the dream deal.

But here’s the truth most people don’t realize: Free Dining isn’t always the best option for every family.
Here’s why:
✨ Sometimes a room discount saves more.Disney promotions usually can’t be stacked. In some cases, a resort discount can save hundreds more than the value of the dining plan. I know that schedules play a HUGE part in resorts — what is available for the dates that you can come. Especially those families with kids on fall, winter or spring breaks
✨ Not every family eats the same way.If your crew prefers quick bites, snacks, or lighter meals, the dining plan may actually be more food than you’ll use. If you have older kids and are not utilizing character meals or formal sit down meals……this is not a value added to your vacation.
✨ Your resort choice matters. Some promotions require specific resort categories or room types, which can change the overall cost of your trip. This is especially important when it comes to the “direction” of your vacation. Meaning, you want proximity over price. OR - you need budget over bougie.
✨ Kids vs adults pricing can shift the math.Depending on the ages in your group, the “free” dining may not give you the biggest value.
This is exactly why my clients don’t have to stress over which promotion to choose. I price out every available option and make sure you’re getting the best value for your vacation — not just the most advertised deal.
If you don’t have kids 3-9 then you are purchasing dining for everyone in your party — there is nothing free.

Because the goal isn’t just to get a deal…It’s to get the right deal for your family.
If you’re thinking about a Walt Disney World trip and wondering whether Free Dining actually makes sense for you, I’m happy to run the numbers. ✨

4 Mistakes I Corrected for Multigenerational Clients This Week👇

Planning a legacy trip to Walt Disney World or sailing with Disney Cruise Line is not like booking a quick weekend getaway.
It’s layered.
Emotional.
Expensive.
Small mistakes become BIG regrets

Here are 4 Things I quietly fixed this week:

1. Too Many Park Days
7 nights does not and never should equal 7 park days — whew…that is exhausting.
Everyone needs pace.
Toddlers (and adults) need naps
When you restrict your days to go all the time, you eliminate the restful moments that are not only memorable but necessary.

2. Wrong Room Selection
You have 3 generations in two standard rooms? Why?
That is a vacation no-no.
Adults need privacy.
Early bedtimes need quiet.
Rooming and unpacking needs to not feel cramped.

3. Ignoring Mobility Strategy
This doesn’t just include scooters….although it can.
I am talking about strollers.
Short legs.
Stamina.
Making adjustments when it comes to resort choice can eliminate all the transportation and walking extra steps that are taking precious time from the real fun.

4. Booking a “popular’ cruise itinerary and not the right one for you
NOT EVERY SAILING is for everyone!!
Taking into considerations ages
How much downtime are you really looking forward to?
Does some of your party want specific excursions?
Logistics on a cruise matter.

I get it. Most families don’t even know these are mistakes…..until it’s too late.
Legacy trips deserve more than just making it work.
I provide protection and intention with every decision.

Message me today for planning your legacy vacation!!
