PART 3 — Why We Sell Cruises Now

We settled into our routine almost immediately. 🌊

Every port, we found our beach. Every stop, we searched out a little local mom and pop restaurant, the kind of place you only find when you’re not following a tour group. Morning coffee with a brand new view. End of the day, back to the ship, shower, get ready, head to dinner.

Our all-inclusive rhythm. Just floating.

And the food. The buffets were amazing. The restaurants were amazing. We ate Italian twice. I’m mostly gluten free and they had an entire dedicated section for dietary needs and I never once felt like I was missing out. The service tied it all together. Every single day, outstanding.

I came home a different person about cruising. And honestly? A better travel agent because of it.

Training and research taught me what I’d known all along. isn’t just one thing and not all cruise lines are the same. It’s a warm weather trip that feels just like your favorite all-inclusive. It’s Alaska in a way you truly cannot experience any other way. It’s Europe without ever touching a suitcase between cities. You unpack once, you settle in, and the world just comes to you.

Some lines are family oriented, some cater to adult only, some are extremely high end, others are budget making cruising available to everyone (but make sure you’re expectations are realistic when booking budget) and others are affordable luxury across all price points.

But experiencing it myself showed me that anyone can enjoy the right cruise.

I previously said everything I told you in Part 1 (and probably much worse 🤫) Every single word of it.
And I can now say I was wrong. 😊

PART 2 — The Trip That Changed Everything
So my boyfriend booked me a birthday cruise as a surprise. 🎂🚢

Was I going to say no? Absolutely not. First of all, it’s Brad. Second of all, I will always say yes to an adventure at least once. And honestly? I am so genuinely grateful that he did because it completely changed my opinion on cruising.

I boarded that ship carrying every single worry I just told you about. The crowds. The tiny room. The bathroom. The food. The feeling of never being settled. I was prepared to tolerate it, have fun, and come home with my opinion fully intact.

That is not what happened.

The crowds? Nothing on that ship ever felt crowded except the casino. And come on, what casino doesn’t feel crowded?

The room? Storage everywhere. We unpacked, organized, settled in and after about half an hour it actually felt spacious. The bathroom is small, yes. But it just made me get in and get out faster. And when you’ve got a little rosy glow and a fresh tan from a day in the sun, getting ready is easy. 🌸☀️

Did I get seasick? Yes, I sure did. But that’s completely on me as I didn’t have the right medication. Next cruise, already handled. I should’ve known better.

Waking up somewhere new every day? I thought I’d hate it. I loved it. Same coffee, same breakfast, just a brand new view every single morning. It was beautiful. 🌅

And the excursions. Oh, the excursions. A teeny tiny boat out to an island in Belize 🌊 and a private driver in Honduras who took us to all of his favorite local spots, a beautiful beach and jumped the line so we could hold the monkeys and sloths at the rescue. 🦥 The tiny, run down, shore side restaurant in Cozumel where we talked to the locals and relaxed before a day of exploring. More to come on our land days becuase they were absolutely perfect!

Here’s what I didn’t expect. A cruise can feel just as relaxing and predictable as an all-inclusive if that’s what you’re looking for. And that’s exactly what we are. All-inclusive people. We know that vacation. We love that ease.

And we found it. Right there on the ship.

🚢 Cassie here. Let me tell you why I didn’t sell cruises for the longest time. And it wasn’t random. It was personal.

I had zero desire to cruise. None. The thought of being stuck out at sea on a ship with nowhere to go made me uncomfortable. Walking the gangway shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of other people? Nope. Getting funneled into a commercialized excursion with a crowd of strangers? Absolutely not.

And the rooms. The teeny tiny rooms with an even smaller bathroom 🤯 I like my space and my comfort, and I just couldn’t picture myself feeling at home in that.

Then the itinerary. Waking up somewhere new every single morning. I’m someone who loves to settle in, get familiar, find my rhythm in a place. The idea of never feeling grounded or comfortable just didn’t appeal to me at all.
And don’t even get me started on the buffets. I was convinced I’d either get sick or everything would taste exactly the same, day after day.

Here’s the thing though..:I wasn’t just saying this to myself. I was hearing it from my clients too. And because I believe wholeheartedly in selling what you know, I referred every cruise inquiry out.

That was my boundary. And I stood by it… until I couldn’t. 😏
