✨ Resort Review ✨
In January, our family of 19—ages 2 to 72—set off on a memorable adventure to the Hard Rock Riviera Maya in Mexico, and it was everything we hoped for!
This resort is a dream for families. On day one, we reserved a beach cabana by the resort’s uniquely coved beach. The calm, wave-free waters were perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking—totally safe for little ones and relaxing for the rest of us.
The food was a highlight! No need for reservations—just check in at each restaurant when you're ready. We enjoyed a great variety, from the buffet and steakhouse (Toro) to the Asian Teppanyaki experience at Zen, which was a group favorite. The kids especially loved the café, where they could help themselves to ice cream any time of day!
Evenings were filled with family-friendly entertainment, and the poolside fire show was a standout. By day, there were pools everywhere—plus games, foam parties, waterslides, and swim-up bars to keep everyone entertained.
We also made the most of the resort’s waterpark, Rockaway Bay, and checked out Vibe City for bowling, laser tag, and more. The fun never stopped!
Our group ventured off-site to visit the Mayan ruins in Tulum—truly a bucket list moment, made even better by our amazing guide. Additionally, some also went on a fishing excursion and had a blast at sea.
The Hard Rock Riviera Maya was the perfect place for our multigenerational family trip. Incredible service, beautiful grounds, and something for everyone. If you’re planning a family getaway, this one should be on your radar!
