🌊🦪Oysters, Community, and Conservation!🦪🌊

On Friday, I had the honor of heading out once again with the awesome crew at Drayton Harbor Oyster Company, this time with a working party made up of local community members! 💪 We got a hands-on look at how oysters are grown right here in Drayton Harbor and learned some really cool history about the area.

But beyond the oyster beds and beautiful bay views, there’s an even bigger story to tell…

Protecting our watershed isn’t just about supporting local seafood (though delicious oysters are a nice bonus!). It’s about preserving a thriving habitat for local wildlife 🐦, maintaining clean water 🌿, and ensuring places like Drayton Harbor stay beautiful and accessible for future generations to enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, and just soaking in the natural beauty. 🚣‍♀️🌞

Let’s keep working together to take care of this incredible resource, because a healthy harbor means a healthy community.

🎆🇺🇸 Blaine 4th of July Parade
Let’s Get Jiggy! 🇺🇸🎆

Come celebrate Independence Day in true Blaine style! The 4th of July Parade is one of the best events of the summer, and Let’s Get Jiggy will be joining in on the fun! 🎉

Keep an eye out for our crew along the parade route, we’ll be passing out candy and spreading good vibes all day long! 🍬🙌

Bring the whole family, grab a good spot, and enjoy the awesome Blaine 4th of July festivities. It’s going to be a blast, parade, fireworks, community, and of course... candy! 😄🇺🇸

Bonus if you can guess how many pieces of candy would fit in a 2-gallon bucket?

📣 Community Meeting Alert, Blaine Residents!

Several members of the Whatcom County Council will be holding a community meeting to hear directly from Blaine area residents and better understand our local needs.

🕑 2:00–4:00 p.m.
📍 Blaine Public Library

This is a great opportunity to get your questions answered and share your thoughts on what matters most to our community. I’ll be attending as well, so if you can’t make it, feel free to send me your questions ahead of time, I’ll do my best to bring them up during the meeting.
