Brasstown Bald is the highest natural point in the state of Georgia coming in at 4,784 feet. It’s situated between Blairsville and Hiawassee offering 360 degree breathtaking views of North Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina. In clear days in late September and October you may even see the Atlanta skyline.
It’s $5 per person for entry and it’s an easy paved walk up to the visitors center and observation deck. There’s also the option to drive to the top.
Up at the visitors center you’ll find an 8,000 square foot museum featuring interactive cultural and natural history exhibits. The kids will enjoy the scavenger hunt there.
Located only 30 miles from The Lodge, Brasstown Bald is a must see while staying here.
