Blairsville has it all!
Georgia keeps its highest mountain tucked way up in the northeast corner, and in October it might be the prettiest seat in the whole Blue Ridge. 🌄 Brasstown Bald stands 4,784 feet up, high enough that on a clear morning you can look out across four states.
Get up there early and you watch the sun climb over ridge after ridge while the fog still sleeps down in the valleys below. The stone observation deck sits right on top of the summit, and from there the hardwoods spill down the mountainsides in gold, rust, and scarlet. 🍂
There is a quiet up there that you don't find many places anymore. The wind moves through the short, stubby trees on the crest, a hawk might drift by below you, and the whole world looks like it is waking up slow. ☕
