Bloomfield Iowa Police Department works HARD to keep everyone safe. Thank you!!

Please remember that bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, and other similar devices should not be ridden on the sidewalks around the Square.

Per Ordinance: 76.09 RIDING ON SIDEWALKS.

There are safety concerns for our local businesses and their customers as people enter and exit buildings. Riding on the sidewalks can create potential hazards and contribute to property damage and vandalism.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping keep our downtown square safe, welcoming, and respectful for our businesses, residents, and visitors.

Found this old postcard of the Bloomfield Square from 1903 for sale on e-bay, and wondered if AI could make the photo clearer. Sure enough! Wow! So cool to pick out the striking details, like all the trees around the Courthouse, the dirt streets and the telegraph pole, not to mention the lady in the long skirt standing on the corner!
