Clem Beauchamp, actor, writer, director, producer, and Oscar nominee, was born in Bloomfield, Iowa in 1898. He worked with another Iowa native, George Reeves, on the television series, The Adventures of Superman. Unlike many other visitor centers, the Davis County Welcome Center is open year round, operated by volunteers with the Davis County Tourism Corporation. We offer free maps, brochures and booklets from around the State, as well as a gift shop with items made by local crafters. If you've never been, come stop by for a look-see and a very warm welcome from one of our wonderful volunteers. Monday - Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
