🚂 Beautifully restored vintage locomotives and coaches carry you on a 12-mile round trip from Hancock through Ellsworth Falls and across the Union River Bridge — the first passenger train to run these tracks since 1960.
🌲 A 90-minute narrated ride through pine forests, rolling fields, and sparkling waterways, with local history and railroad stories shared along the way.
🦅 Keep an eye out the window — riders have spotted Bald Eagles and Osprey nests right along the route!
🐾 Comfortable coach seating, an open-air canopy car with picnic tables, snacks and water for purchase, onboard restrooms, and handicap accessibility — even your good dog is welcome aboard.
👷 Every excursion is run by a dedicated all-volunteer crew, keeping Downeast Maine's railway heritage alive.
