Paris-Plage Favorites Walks and Hikes - UPDATED

✨ Driving in from the the city, don’t miss this little jewel of a park in Petaluma, Helen Putnam Regional Park. A must do.
✨Stroll down to Doran Beach. Miles of sandy beach awaits. Best at low tide.
✨ Walk to the Pinnacle Gulch trailhead and loop back up Short Tail Gulch for wonderful tide pools and anemones and starfish
✨ Walk to the Short Tail Gulch trailhead and hike the Ridge trail and/or Bluff trail in the newly opened (and somewhat viral) Estero Americano Coast Preserve (a true marvel by the Wildlands Conservancy) for sweeping views of the Harbour, Bodega Head, Dillon Beach, Tomales Point and PNS.
✨ Drive about 10 min North in 1 to Chanslor Ranch for scenic views of Salmon Creek and Bodega Bay as well as access to Salmon Creek.
✨ Drive about 15 min to Bodega Head. Spectacular cliffs, views, wildflowers and resident deers. Bring binoculars (2 pairs at the house) for birds and sea creatures watching.
✨ Drive about 20 min to The Grove of Old Trees off Joy road. Beautiful (short) trails in a majestic redwood grove and a picturesque Buddha statue.
✨ Drive about 20 min North on 1 to Shell Beach. Hike the Kortum trail to Peaked Hill and Blind Beach for stunning views of the coast and Goat Rock. Hike to Red Hill and Pomo Canyon for sweeping views of the Russian River and Jenner.
✨ Drive about 30 min North on 1 past Jenner to the Jenner Headlands Preserve, another Wildlands Conservancy jewel and hike up to Sentinel Point or loop on the Sea to Sky trail. Amazing southern views and the cutest cows you have ever seen.
✨ Make it a day trip and enjoy the highly scenic 50 min ride to Salt Point State Park. Our favorite is the bluff trail to the gorgeous Stump Beach. It’s a wild flowers wonderland in Spring.
✨ Drive the other way and head to Pierce Ranch in Point Reyes National Seashore and hike the amazing Tomales Point trail for stunning views of Tomales Bay, Dillon Beach and the Ocean and mesmerizing looks at several Tule elk herds along the way. Make it a day adventure and stop in Marshall for oysters on the way back
