🦁✨ A LITTLE DISNEY HISTORY… ✨🦁

Long before Simba, Mufasa and The Lion King, Walt Disney was taking audiences on a very different adventure into Africa!

On September 14, 1955, Disney released The African Lion, part of Walt Disney’s True-Life Adventures series. 🎥🌍

The film followed the wildlife of Africa—including lions, elephants, giraffes and other animals—in their natural habitats.

Walt’s True-Life Adventures were groundbreaking nature films for their time, combining incredible wildlife footage with storytelling to introduce audiences to animals and places many had never seen before. 🌿🐘🦒

And I love seeing how that appreciation for nature and conservation continues throughout Disney today—especially at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. ❤️

🎃🏰 Disney Halloween… but which coast are you choosing?! 🏰🎃

When most people think about Halloween at Disney, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World immediately comes to mind.

But Disneyland Resort goes ALL IN for spooky season too! 👻🧡

This year, **Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort runs August 21–October 31**, with seasonal décor, entertainment, treats, attraction overlays and Disney characters dressed for Halloween. 🎃

Over at Disney California Adventure, **Plaza de la Familia** runs through November 2, celebrating Día de los Mu***os and the everlasting bonds of family with experiences inspired by Disney and Pixar's *Coco*. 🌼💀❤️

Today we're escaping to the islands without ever leaving Walt Disney World! 🌺

**Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort** is a Moderate Resort with a laid-back tropical feel—and one VERY big perk:

Caribbean Beach is the main hub of the Skyliner system, giving guests convenient aerial transportation to:

🌴 Disney's Riviera Resort

That Skyliner access is one of the biggest reasons I like Caribbean Beach for families planning to spend a lot of time at EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.

🏝️ The resort is divided into colorful Caribbean-inspired villages surrounding Barefoot Bay.

🏴‍☠️ Fuentes del Morro Pool has a Spanish-fortress theme, waterslides and plenty of room for an afternoon break from the parks.

🍴🐭 Think EPCOT Food & Wine is just for adults? Think again!

One of my favorite things about EPCOT's festivals is that Disney makes sure there's something for the WHOLE family—and Food & Wine is no exception! 🌎✨

If you're visiting with kids, put **Remy's Ratatouille Hide & Squeak** on your list! 🐭🧑‍🍳

🗺️ Purchase a scavenger hunt map and stickers for **$11.99 + tax**, then search World Showcase and the Global Marketplaces for hidden Remy statuettes.

Every time the kids spot Remy, they add the corresponding sticker to their map. When you're finished, turn it in for a special festival keepsake! 🎁

And here's a parent tip I LOVE: **you can redeem the keepsake even if you don't finish the entire hunt.** 🙌

It's such a fun way to keep kids engaged while the adults explore World Showcase!

But that's not all they can do:

🥟 Share small festival dishes and let everyone rate their favorites

Spooky season is officially in full swing at Walt Disney World, and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is taking over Magic Kingdom on select nights through October 31! 🏰🧡

If you’ve never been, this is a separately ticketed nighttime event—and there is SO much more to it than trick-or-treating!

🍬 Trick-or-treat throughout Magic Kingdom (and yes, adults get candy too!)
🎃 Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade
🧙‍♀️ The Sanderson Sisters take over the castle stage for the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
🎆 Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, hosted by Jack Skellington
👻 Special character appearances
🎢 Halloween twists on select attractions
🧡 Guests are encouraged to dress up—just make sure to check Disney’s costume guidelines
🪩 NEW this year: Stitch is hosting a dance party in Tomorrowland with Lilo and Angel!

💡 **Planning Tip:** You don’t need a regular Magic Kingdom park ticket to attend the party. Party guests can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at **4:00 PM**, while the official party runs from **7:00 PM–midnight**.

That makes a party day a great opportunity to sleep in, enjoy the pool 🏊‍♀️, explore your resort or have a fun brunch before heading to Magic Kingdom.
