And just like that, we’ve reached my final Disney Destiny recap post! ❤️

I’m skipping a Debarkation Day recap because, honestly, debarkation is too depressing to deserve its own post. 😭🚢

Our final full day onboard was my very favorite kind of cruise day... a SEA DAY! ☀️🌊

By now, it’s become a badly kept secret that Churro Mickey Waffles make an appearance at Marceline Market on sea day mornings. So what did we do as soon as we woke up? Joined the masses in search of waffles, of course. 🧇✨

QUICK TIP: If you don’t like crowds but you need the waffles, set an alarm and get there early. By 9:30 a.m., finding a seat was a challenge. If you don’t like crowds OR early mornings, grab a plate and take it somewhere quieter to enjoy.

I didn’t take many pictures on this day, which is probably the best sign of all. We were too busy having fun! 👯‍♀️ We played live Disney music trivia, met characters, sipped lattes crafted by our favorite baristas at Café Merida, watched the Hercules matinee, ordered room service, enjoyed Disney movies in the stateroom while getting ready for dinner at Pride Lands, and packed as much Disney magic as possible into our final day onboard.

It was the perfect ending to an incredible cruise, and we loved every minute of it. 💙✨

Day 3 – Disney Castaway Cay

Our second full day on Disney Destiny brought us to Disney’s original private island in The Bahamas… Castaway Cay! 🏝️💙

Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t exactly cooperating, and our parasailing excursion ended up being canceled. We still made the most of our time ashore by walking along the family beach, doing a little shopping, and, of course, grabbing an ice cream cone. 🍦🌊

Someone (not me 😂) wasn’t having a magical morning, so while she rested in the stateroom and binge-watched Disney movies, I found the PERFECT shady spot on deck to relax and read. Thankfully, the sun finally made an appearance later in the afternoon so The Bahamas could show off one more time. ☀️📖

Then it was time to get dressed up for Pirate Night! 🏴‍☠️ Wendy & Michael were a huge hit, and we had so much fun taking pictures, trying the special pirate night menu in the dining room, and ending the evening with the only fireworks show at sea. ✨🚢

After cruising through the night, we woke up in beautiful Eleuthera, Bahamas, and WOW… the water and weather were showing OFF. ☀️🌊💙 We spent most of the day soaking up the sunshine at Serenity Bay and enjoying every second outdoors.

We headed back onboard in the early afternoon for lunch and the most MARVELOUS character meet-and-greet. We also made some fun new friends while waiting in line… seriously, cruise friends are the best. ✨

Our evening started with music and drinks in The Sanctum 🍸🎶 before seeing the absolute BEST performance of “Frozen” that I’ve ever seen on a Disney ship. Then it was time for dinner at Worlds of Marvel, where Neely and her newly dubbed “Uncle Andy” bonded over Marvel trivia. I had no idea her superhero knowledge ran that deep, and honestly, it was pretty amazing. 😂🦸‍♀️

After a full day in the sun and our later dinner rotation, we called it a night a little early to rest up for another fun day ahead! 🚢💫

I’ve just gotten home from my last Disney cruise 🛳️, so you know what that means… it’s time for a recap! 💙✨

I followed my own advice, and we arrived in Fort Lauderdale 🌴 the day before our cruise was scheduled to depart. Since we experienced several flight delays ✈️⏰, I’m so glad the extra time was built in.

AND I have a new favorite hotel for clients cruising from Port Everglades. 🏨⚓️ The Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel is only two blocks from Disney’s cruise terminal! If you’re trying to keep costs down 💸, you can walk it (depending on how much luggage you’re hauling 🧳😅), but we opted to use the shuttle from the hotel for $8 per person. Easy peasy! 🙌

Embarkation at Port Everglades is also a breeze. 🌬️ Our Port Arrival Time was 11:45am, and I think we were walking onto the ship by 12:05pm. 🤯

What do you do while waiting for your stateroom to be ready on Disney Destiny ✨ with a teenage girl? 👯‍♀️

✅ Grab lunch from Marceline Market 🍕🍔🍰
✅ Show her where the pools 🏊‍♀️, soda station 🥤, theater 🎭, and shops 🛍️ are
✅ Visit the Oceaneer’s Club open house 🎨 (she opted to hang with me instead of at the teen club 😂, but it’s fun to explore the younger kids’ area)
✅ Pop into The Sanctum 🔮 for some arts & crafts ✂️🎨

The rest of the afternoon & evening were spent unpacking 🧳, celebrating at the Sail Away Deck Party 🎉⚓️, meeting up with the friends who were cruising with us 👯‍♀️, decorating our stateroom door 🚪✨, watching our first show (Seas the Adventure) 🎶 in Walt Disney Theater, enjoying dinner at 1923 🍽️, and watching the most hilarious Marvel variety show 😂🦸 in Saga.

Embarkation Day is always busy, but it’s a BLAST! 🚢💥
