🇮🇹 Four Incredible Ways to Experience Italy in Spring 2027!
If Italy is calling your name, spring 2027 might just be the perfect time to answer. I have four very special small-group culinary adventures planned, each offering a completely different taste of Italy.

These aren’t “see Italy from the window of a tour bus” trips. We slow down, eat well, meet the people behind the food and wine, and experience the places we visit in a much more personal way.

March 27 – April 3: Eastern Sicily
We’ll base ourselves in beautiful Ortigia and explore the flavors and traditions of southeastern Sicily—from markets and street food to wineries, cooking experiences and gorgeous Baroque towns. Sicily is bold, delicious, historic and wonderfully different from the rest of Italy.

April 3 – 10: Puglia & Matera
Come experience Italy’s spectacular heel! We’ll enjoy the food, wine and hospitality of Puglia while exploring Lecce, Alberobello, Ostuni and beyond, plus an unforgettable visit to ancient Matera. Think masserie, olive oil, handmade pasta, local wines and some of the warmest hospitality in Italy.

April 10 – 17: Calabria
This one is especially close to my heart. ❤️ Calabria is where I was born, and I can’t wait to introduce travelers to a region that remains wonderfully authentic and largely undiscovered by international tourism. We’ll experience its villages, coastline, family traditions and incredible foods—from ’nduja and local wines to handmade specialties and, of course, the famous tartufo di Pizzo.

May 8 – 15: Springtime Under the Tuscan Sun
And finally, Tuscany in May! We’ll spend the entire week based in Cortona, the beautiful hill town made famous by Under the Tuscan Sun—and the place I now call home for part of the year. We’ll enjoy truffles, wine, cheese making, cooking, beautiful Tuscan towns and plenty of time to simply enjoy the rhythm of life in Cortona.

One of my favorite things about these tours is that you don’t have to rush through Italy to experience it. My trips are intentionally small, personal and food-focused, with time to actually enjoy where you are.
🍋 Sicily
🫒 Puglia & Matera
🌶️ Calabria
🌻 Tuscany

Which Italy is calling you?
Spring 2027 is already booking, so if one of these adventures has been on your wish list, now is a wonderful time to join us.
Details and registration for all four tours can be found on my website: www.thelazyitalian.com

Come hungry. Come curious. And come experience Italy the way I love it most—slowly, deliciously, and with the locals. 🇮🇹

Have you been dreaming of Southern Italy?

Imagine spending a week based in the breathtaking Baroque city of Lecce, waking up each morning in a luxurious 5-star hotel before setting off to discover some of Italy’s most beautiful villages and unforgettable culinary traditions.

✨ Wander the whitewashed streets of Ostuni.
✨ Marvel at the trulli of Alberobello.
✨ Explore the ancient cave city of Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
✨ Stroll through seaside Gallipoli and charming Cisternino.
✨ Visit family-run masserie where you’ll taste exceptional cheeses, olive oils, and wines.
✨ Roll up your sleeves during a hands-on cooking class after shopping with locals at Lecce’s vibrant market.

This isn’t just a sightseeing trip—it’s an immersive culinary adventure through one of Italy’s most authentic and delicious regions, where every meal tells a story, and every day introduces you to the people who keep these traditions alive. Throughout the week, we’ll enjoy amazing and exclusive experiences, private transportation, incredible lunches at wineries and farm estates, and experiences you simply couldn’t arrange on your own.

Only THREE rooms remain for my April 3–10, 2027 Puglia & Matera Culinary Adventure.

If Puglia has been on your bucket list, this is your sign. 🇮🇹

Send me a message or visit my website for the full itinerary before these final spots disappear.

✨ One Room for Two. Two Seats at the Table. That is all that is left on my 2026 tours, for another sold-out year in the books!

✨And this is one incredible week in Italy’s Food Valley. ✨

My October Bologna & Italy’s Food Valley Culinary Tour is almost completely full, and there is now just one room remaining.

This isn’t a tour built around checking off famous landmarks for your Instagram. This is a week of stepping behind the scenes with the families who have spent generations perfecting the foods that made this region world-famous. But if you ask me, that makes amazing IG stories too. 😉

Imagine...
🍷 Sipping Lambrusco where it’s made.
🧀 Walking through aging rooms filled with Parmigiano Reggiano.
🥩 Visiting artisan producers of Prosciutto di Parma.
🥄 Tasting traditional balsamic vinegar that’s been aging for decades.
🍝 Rolling fresh pasta by hand alongside local experts.
❤️ Sharing meals, stories, and laughter with the people who call this remarkable region home.

As you know, I intentionally keep my groups small because those authentic experiences simply aren’t possible with large buses and big crowds.

Once this final room is spoken for, that’s it. There won’t be another opportunity to travel with me until 2027.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign that it’s time to experience Italy beyond the postcards, this just might be it.

📩 Send me a message for the itinerary and details before the last room disappears. [email protected]

🎄🇮🇹 Only ONE Room Left for Christmas in Tuscany! 🇮🇹🎄

Have you ever dreamed of spending the holidays in Tuscany, surrounded by twinkling lights, medieval villages, festive markets, and incredible food?

There is now just one room remaining for this magical Christmas experience in Cortona, the beautiful Tuscan hill town I am fortunate enough to call my part-time home. This isn’t a rushed sightseeing trip. It’s an opportunity to slow down, embrace the season, and experience Christmas in Italy like a local.

We’ll visit historic towns dressed in their holiday finest, enjoy seasonal food and wine, and experience the warmth and traditions that make an Italian Christmas so special.

And perhaps my favorite part of the week? You’ll be welcomed into my own home in Cortona for a very special dinner. We’ll gather around the table, share stories, enjoy wonderful local food and wine, and celebrate the season with true Italian hospitality.

This is the Italy I grew up loving. The Italy beyond the guidebooks.

BOLOGNA AND ITS NEIGHBORS

There are only a few chances left to travel with me to Italy in 2026. My “Bologna and its Neighbors” tour has just five spots left! And it’s one of my most delicious destinations!

Picture:

The scent of simmering ragù drifting through medieval streets. Fresh pasta rolled by hand exactly as it has been for generations. Parmigiano Reggiano aging quietly in enormous warehouses. Family-run producers preserving traditions the world is slowly forgetting.

This October, I invite you to experience it all with me on an intimate culinary journey through Bologna and the Emilia-Romagna region — the gastronomic heart of Italy. 🍷🍝
Together, we’ll:
✨ Visit artisan Parmigiano Reggiano producers
✨ Taste authentic aged balsamic vinegar in Modena
✨ Visit a family-run prosciutto producer
✨ Learn to make fresh pasta by hand
✨ Wander Bologna’s vibrant markets and hidden alleyways
✨ Share unforgettable meals and regional wines
✨ Slow down and truly savor Italy

Bologna will be our home for the week as we immerse ourselves in the food, culture, traditions, and warmth of this incredible region — not as tourists, but as welcomed guests. Stay in a beautiful 4* hotel steps from Piazza Maggiore. Enjoy one of the most delicious breakfast stations before setting out for the day!
What makes these journeys so special isn’t just the food. It’s the people. The stories. The connections made around long tables.

As a native Italian, my goal is not simply to show you Italy — it’s to help you feel connected to it.

This experience is intentionally small and intimate, so every moment feels personal, relaxed, and authentic.

If you’ve been dreaming of Italy… this may be your sign. ❤️
