Just booked my first 2027 client trip to Universal! They’re staying at Cabana Bay, a favorite of ours! It’s a value resort - but it has a lazy river and water slide! And it’s within walking distance of Volcano Bay, the water park! Don’t get me started on all of the yummy food options!

My kids are OBSESSED with this slide! On our February cruise, my 15yo and 8yo raced each other 5x in a row!

Vacation is better with a few twists and turns. 💜

On Wonder of the Seas, those twists and turns happen to be 10 stories above the deck.

Ultimate Abyss is the tallest dry slide at sea, and it's waiting for anyone brave enough to take the plunge.

Some of the worst Disney advice you will ever hear is “Wait until they’re old enough to remember”. I’m sure Fiona doesn’t remember this trip at 17 months old. But I remember it. Your memories as a parent count too, and there’s nothing like experiencing Disney through a small child’s eyes - even a baby who cannot believe that Goofy is right there, or who can’t stop looking around “It’s a small world” in wonder. Don’t wait until they are too old to appreciate the magic. My 8 year old didn’t really want to meet characters on our August visit, and I was so glad that we caught her during those magic years when she was little, before she said “Those are just people in costume, Mom” like she did this year. This is my PSA to encourage you to get the travel insurance! Either purchase it when you book your vacation, or get a credit card that has a good travel insurance benefit.

Our February break cruise finished as that giant storm hit the northeast. Our flights were canceled on a Sunday, and the airline didn't set us up with another flight until Thursday. The airline didn't offer us any sort of compensation other than switching flights for no additional charge, because weather is out of their control. These were our out of pocket expenses. Thankfully I found us flights on a different airline and airport on Monday (for less than what I originally paid!), so it wasn't too bad. But I was thrilled to get every penny that we spent in our delay back. Our one day delay cost us nearly $1,000.
