Me: Thanks! It has pockets!

Did you know sea otters have flaps of loose skin under each forearm that they use like a pocket? What are these pockets full of? (Hint: It’s not sunshine.)

Alright, it’s not pocket science. When swimming, the pockets are used to carry as much food as possible back to the surface. Think buffet f***y pack. Hot pocket! Otters also use their pockets to stash rocks. They use rocks to crack open clams, crabs and other shellfish on their tummies. (Tummies is the scientific term.) They may also use rocks to hammer abalone shells, as quickly as 45 times in just 15 seconds (hammer time!), until the abalone loosen their tight grip on the seafloor. The ones left behind are left…well, abalonely.

Wow! What an amazing day!!

I have been waiting a long time to randomly spot one of our scarves in ‘the wild’ and today it happened in Boston Logan airport! We happened to both be walking out of the bathroom at the same time when I spotted it and had to ask if it was a speakeasy scarf. She said it was!

She told me she loves the scarf and wears it everywhere and that was so amazing to hear! It looked so good on her too. 💕

She was kind enough to pose for a photo to record this moment with us.

I told her I made her scarf - but truthfully it was likely a combo of my mom and me making it together since we tend to double team this style a lot!

She is wearing our Soda Springs scarf wrapped 3 times and I am wearing our new Silverton scarf wrapped two times.

This trip is already starting off awesome!
