After 8 successful years, BikeState38 is riding off into the sunset. Going forward we will be focusing our time and energy on our core offerings tied to the Outside Events Cycling Series. Thank you to our community - partners, events, subscribers and followers for your support and engagement! Our cycling hub was made possible by you. Perhaps we will ride again but for now happy trails and here’s to tailwinds!

As a celebration of Grand Valley Bike Month and the great access to mountain biking in the Grand Junction community, we are excited to announce the Grand Valley Mountain Bike Film Fest.

On September 14th the Historic Avalon Theatre is screening short films celebrating mountain biking as an activity for everyone. All profits will go towards 30 miles of new trails at 18 Road, also known as North Fruita Desert.

A new event not to miss: Bike for the Canal Challenge! The fundraiser starts August 1st and completes on October 10th. The event is raising money for a fantastic organization, the High Line Canal Conservancy. Set a goal to bike 71 miles on or off the Canal while raising $710 for the Conservancy. All participants will receive a Primal Wear, Inc. Bike FOR the Canal jersey.

Join Craig Hospital for Pedal 4 Possible, a scenic ride along the Front Range in Boulder County on September 18, 2021. The ride starts and ends in Louisville at the headquarters of PEARL iZUMi. Pedal 4 Possible features a route for everyone, including 100M, 100K, 50K, 30K, and 10K courses. Enjoy great food, beer and music—all to raise money for Craig Hospital programs for individuals with spinal cord or brain injuries! Can’t make it? You can also participate virtually!

Hey Colorado! June is bike month. Colorado is a premier bicycling state. To celebrate bicycling for transportation, fun and health, Colorado has designated each June as Bike Month. At the same time, Colorado joins a nationwide effort to encourage cycling novices and enthusiasts to experience the fun and freedom of safely riding a bike to work, school, errands and recreation.
