💙 A Message to Our Valued Visitors & Volunteers 💙

Due to the increased presence of Feline Panleukopenia in our community and among incoming cats, we are implementing heightened safety measures to protect all the animals in our care. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this challenging time.

What you can expect when visiting or volunteering:
• No Petting of Cats: to prevent viral transmission, we are temporarily asking visitors to refrain from petting the cats. The virus is extremely contagious.
• Increased Cleaning & Sanitation: You will notice our staff engaging in even more rigorous and frequent cleaning protocols throughout the facility, particularly in cat areas.
• Bleach Sensitivity: Our extensive cleaning efforts involve the use of strong disinfectants, including bleach. If you are sensitive to bleach, you may find it difficult to visit our buildings during this period. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience as we work to ensure a healthy environment.

These measures are critical to helping us combat this deadly virus and continue our life-saving mission. We know you love our cats, and your support in following these guidelines is the best way to show it right now. Thank you for being part of our community and for helping us keep all our shelter animals safe and healthy.
