Sometimes mother nature plants a big one right in front of the star attraction. Still got to see over 30 alligators and tons of birds flying in during our Sunset Cruise tonight. Being out at Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge after dark is quite the unique experience. The eyeshine of the gators, the calls of owls and frogs, the night sky, random python hunters, and crashing vegetation from a skunk ape (??) are just a few things one can expect. Repeat customers Brian and Lorraine helped spotlight 26 alligators the other night as we enjoyed the beautiful winter Florida temps along with a few bug bites.

Barry and I battled through the clouds and managed to get him some fabulous shots of the sunset on his private tour. We watched thousands of birds come to roost at the ever growing wading bird nesting colony at Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. Watched Roseate Spoonbills fly in carrying nesting material along with herons, egrets, ibis, and more. Here are some of my photos of Barry taking photos. :) I am sure Barry's are way better.

Meet Arthur and Audrey. Both 92 yrs young who play tennis every morning then come out to Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge afterwards for their daily hike. I had the pleasure of taking them on a tour a few weeks back. We didn't talk too much about wildlife but more about their amazing lives. This has to be the most gratifying aspect of running this business. Getting to meet such wonderful people and connect with them. Now they come by to say hello whenever my boat is at the dock. I love it!!

What a beautiful evening with a beautiful family. Took out Robin and her fam to watch the setting sun and I had an absolute blast with them. Fun loving people. Also got to meet the original Captian Mike and listen to his stories of being a lifelong boatsman.

I was honored to take Garry and his wonderful family and friends out on a Sunset Tour this evening. The sunsets at Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge never disappoint. We got back to the dock and just sat in the boat for another 10 minutes watching the sky change colors.
