As the autumn weather settles into the Greater Yellowstone Area, last night we held our end-of-the-season staff party for the Yellowstone Safari Co. crew at our headquarters in Bozeman, MT!

We’re so grateful for the nearly 10,000 guests that we guided through Yellowstone National Park this summer, and the season isn’t over yet!  We continue to run tours throughout the entire year, and we look forward to sharing more of this magical wonderland with you as we move towards winter!

Last night’s food was provided by Tabay’s Mindful Kitchen , Bozeman’s incredible new food truck, serving up the best plant-based comfort foods in the Gallatin Valley!

Thank you to everyone who has joined us for a safari through the world’s first, and best, National Park!  And a HUGE thank you to our amazing, dedicated, and hard-working crew!

We had our first snowstorm! ❄️

October is not too early to see significant snowfall in Yellowstone, so be prepared and plan ahead.

The animals of Yellowstone are used to these conditions, and none welcome it more than the wolves. We are so excited for our wolf watching season this winter!

Owls are masters of camouflage, seamlessly blending into their surroundings. 🦉

Spotting an owl is incredibly lucky as they are stealthy hunters, relying on the element of surprise to catch their prey.

If Yellowstone has a fat bear contest, this chunky one would be in the running for sure!

Bears are packing on the pounds for hibernation over the winter, consuming up to 20,000 calories a day, which can take up to 22 hours a day for them. If eating were an Olympic sport, bears would be going for gold! 🐻 🥇

A Yellowstone lunch.

Our tour enjoyed this AMAZING sighting of a wolf coming in to clean up what is left of this carcass, having a quiet lunch with a couple of raven companions.

One of the incredibly special things about Yellowstone is, alongside all its beauty, it shows us the raw side of nature, putting the circle of life on full display. What a privilege it is to be able to witness nature at its most wild.
