We spent last week getting 2,500lbs of gear up the mountain, building Bell Lake Yurt, and cutting wood. We’re ready for winter (and snow’s in the forecast next weekend). Book your trip today—ski and ride season is just around the corner!

We just completed a full redesign of our website for BSBG and Bell Lake Yurt—we hope you find it helpful, and that it pumps you up for all the winter fun to come! By all long-range weather forecasting accounts, it’s going to be another amazing season. BSBG has been hard at it since 2013—deep p...

For keeping our communities and mountain playgrounds safe, we’d like to help keep our wildland firefighters safe—10% discount on BSBG avalanche courses at Bell Lake Yurt for ALL wildland fire personnel!

Especially after a year of being je**ed around, laid off, and undervalued by DOGE and federal leadership, we just want to say THANK YOU!

Email [email protected] with proof of employment for a discount code that can be used for any 2025.26 season course.

What is there to say? The Cloudrest fire and to a lesser extent the Bivens Fire are currently threatening our beloved Bell Lake Yurt and all of our adjacent ski terrain. We got the call about an imminent area closure from the USFS this morning and rallied a crew to come rescue as much of our equipment as possible, but there’s only so much we can do.

Do your rain dances, and we’ll see you on the other side. Onward and upward.

8/19 pm update: So far, the yurt site is unburned! It was one of the hottest (likely the hottest) days of the year today, with near-single digit humidity—not good. Extreme fire conditions will persist through the end of the week, so keep those fingers crossed.

Thanks to everyone who’s reached out with words of encouragement and love for this special place. We already have a plan in place to cowboy up and rebuild our site before winter if the worst should occur—there WILL be powder skiing at Bell Lake Yurt this winter. ⛷️Think cool thoughts!
