Through the wildfire haze, we saw this nice herd of elk last night. Over 50 cows and calves. Great to see so many calves!
They were in the same spot we see a coyote pack frequently too. They didn't make an appearance or howl last night.

If you're looking for wildlife in our area, you can often find Bighorn Sheep near where Portal Creek joins the Gallatin River near Big Sky on Hwy 191. From Swan Creek to the gas station (at the turn to Big Sky) is a a prime corridor for spotting them.
