Australia Travel Expert I have a passion for Australia. I am uniquely honored to be a Premier Aussie Specialist with Tourism Australia. Designing custom vacation itineraries.

Having moved since birth, living in ten different states, I have a natural wandering soul. I love change and all things new. My passion: Australia! I have been in love with this country for as long as I can remember. Every school report was written about one of its unique and amazing animals. My room was filled with stuffed koalas and even a koala latch hook rug. I had (still have) a collection of picture clippings from magazines. But, it truly began, in 2008, when I was introduced to the travel industry and became an independent travel consultant. In 2010, I stumbled upon Tourism Australia’s website and entered their Aussie specialist program. In 2011, I was contacted by them and offered a chance of a lifetime to travel to Australia for a tour, followed by Coroborree (A gathering of agents and operators for intense product training and fun!). I could hardly contain my excitement! When I arrived in Sydney and within hours laid hands and eyes on a koala, I was brought to tears. I was forever changed by my trip “down under”. My hope is to share this love and passion with you. I truly believe travel transforms us and broadens our love and appreciation for life. I currently reside in Old Bridge, NJ after spending the last 13 years in TN. I am mom to three amazing teenagers. In my spare time I love being involved with my children’s activities, working out, bowling, cooking, and socializing poolside with friends. In 2015, my love of fitness and travel collided to create Be Fit To Travel. Be Fit To Travel has become an extension of Boomerang Escapes-Return to Your Happy Place. I am not only here to send you on the most fabulous escapes ever, but can also guide you to looking and feeling great when you travel. Not every memorable travel meal comes from a restaurant you planned months in advance. 🇦🇺

Sometimes it’s the little café you stop at along the way.

This savory tart was one of those stops in Australia—nothing fancy, nothing I planned my day around, just a really good lunch while I was out exploring.

And honestly, those are often some of my favorite travel memories.
I love the big experiences, but I also love leaving room in a trip for the places you discover along the way.

Australia has a way of surprising you. 🇦🇺

Kangaroos and koalas may get most of the attention, but some of my favorite wildlife experiences in Australia happened in places—and with animals—I wasn't necessarily thinking about when I first started traveling there.

And that's exactly why I keep saying there is so much more to Australia than the icons.

This was in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales — and it's one of those very Australian moments I love.

You head out to explore w**e country…and there's a kangaroo hanging out among the vines.

That's the thing about Australia. Sometimes you don't have to choose between the experiences you want.

Wildlife OR w**e?

Sometimes you get wildlife AND w**e. 💚

And those unexpected combinations are often the moments you remember most.

Sometimes Australia is in the little details. 🇦🇺

This was Western Australia — where even a little wildflower along the coast can make me stop and take a photo.

It’s easy to think of the big icons when you think of Australia — Sydney Harbour, the Great Barrier Reef, Uluru.

But some of the things that have stayed with me are much smaller.

A wildflower along a rugged coastline.

An unexpected view.

A stop that wasn’t necessarily the “big” attraction of the day.

Those little moments are part of what keeps bringing me back.

After all my trips, Australia is still showing me something new. 💛

I've been to Australia more than once, and it still manages to surprise me. 🇦🇺
This was Lake McKenzie on K’gari — one of those places where the water really does look like this.

Every trip I've taken to Australia has shown me something different. Different landscapes, wildlife, experiences, and places I probably wouldn't have discovered if I'd stopped with the usual highlights.

And there is still so much of Australia I haven't seen.

I don't think you ever really “finish” Australia — and maybe that's part of why I keep going back. 💛

Planning your first trip to Australia? Don't start by picking cities. 🇦🇺

Start with the experiences you don't want to come home without.

Holding a koala? Seeing kangaroos in the wild? Snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef? Hiking? W**e country? The Outback? Incredible food? Beaches?

Once I know someone's must-do experiences, their travel dates, and how much time they have, then I start putting the map together.

Because Australia is BIG — and a great Australia itinerary isn't about checking off the most places.

It's about putting together the right places for you.

Save this for when you start planning your Australia trip.

Well, hello there, cheeky fella. 😂

You never quite know who might wander over to say hello in Australia.

Some of my favorite travel memories aren't the big bucket-list moments — they're little encounters like this one that just happen along the way.

And apparently, I really do talk to every animal I meet. 😂
