Did you hear?

Baltimore cruise fans just received the news many of them have been waiting years to hear.

Carnival Cruise Line is adding a second ship to Baltimore, marking the first time the company will have two ships based at the city’s cruise port.

Carnival Miracle will join Carnival Pride in autumn 2027.

The ship is expected to arrive in Baltimore on 20 November 2027, following a 15-day journey across the Atlantic from Italy.

Carnival Miracle will operate seasonal cruises from November through April under a new two-year agreement with the Maryland Port Administration.

Carnival Pride will continue sailing from Baltimore throughout the year.

For local cruise lovers, this means more dates, more destinations and more chances to enjoy a holiday without having to fly to another state first.

Carnival Miracle will offer seven, eight and nine-day cruises to the Bahamas and Eastern Caribbean.

There will also be longer 12 and 14-day Carnival Journeys cruises visiting destinations such as Dominica, Guadeloupe and St. Maarten.

Some longer Caribbean sailings are also expected to include places such as Aruba, Curaçao, Barbados, St. Lucia and Antigua.

This is a meaningful moment for Baltimore.

Carnival ships have been sailing from the city for more than two decades. Now, for the first time, two Carnival ships will call Baltimore home at the same time.

Cruise activity also brings visitors into the area, filling hotel rooms and supporting restaurants, transport companies and local workers.

The Maryland Port Administration says a single cruise ship visit can create roughly $1 million in economic activity for the state.

For families across Maryland and nearby states, the biggest benefit may be much simpler.

They will have more holidays to choose from, right from a port close to home.

No airport rush. No expensive flights. Just pack the bags, travel to Baltimore and step aboard.

Seeing Carnival Miracle beside Carnival Pride will be a proud sight for the city and an exciting sign of what is ahead.

Baltimore is not losing its place on the cruise map.

It is getting even stronger.
