Our Wilderness Retreat Cabin is looking pretty fancy with brand new granite countertops and a new sink and faucet. Upgrading and repairing at the cabins is a constant work in progress. We’re thrilled with how this one turned out. Cole and Amy at Branson Granite and Tile were amazing getting ready for the project and then Zach and David were wonderful completing it! We couldn’t be happier. We’ve got some open dates for your family to come check it out. The pools are open to cool off during these hot days.

Our screened porches at the Notch cabins are loved by everyone. Recently we updated the porch at Great Outdoors. We love the new swing and fresh look. Pat Duncan, Thank you so much for the beautiful throw that is great for cool evenings on the porch. ( Not that we’re having a lot of those right now. 😉). Pat, It feels right at home in your favorite cabin. ❤️

Charles and I have been busy with our winter chores. Although, I think we’re getting slower and slower. Our cabins are like children, you can’t give too much attention to one— or the others get cranky So, Wilderness Retreat got the goodies this month. We’re loving the pretty, new, hickory dining room chairs. And Wilderness is happy for now. Now to get presents for the others….

Our prayers were not answered as we hoped, but my friend, Brenda Taylor, has gone to be with Jesus. Her pain is over. I will miss her.

Since the beginning of our cabin journey, my dear friend, Brenda Taylor, has been my right-hand helper and constant supporter. Together we’ve decorated, hauled furniture, worked in the yard, cleaned, and shared countless moments that helped turn these cabins into the welcoming spaces they are today. So much of the heart of our cabins carries her fingerprints. This week as Charles and I put away Christmas decor and refreshed things around the cabins, I was struck again and again by memories of Brenda— little reminders everywhere of time spent working side by side, laughing, and building something meaningful together. Tonight, Brenda is in the hospital, once again fighting for her life. My hope is that some of those happy cabin memories might bring her comfort and peace tonight. We would appreciate all your prayers for her.

Hi Cabin Friends! We hope everyone enjoyed a happy Christmas season with your loved ones. Charles and I hosted our annual Christmas get-together with family and friends at the cabins just before Christmas. We enjoyed Silver Dollar City, gingerbread houses at the Chateau, David, and many laughs. I even recruited the ladies to help carry firewood for one of our guests recovering from knee surgery. Fun times! We hope you have many happy memories from this season. Our cabins are open all winter. The hot tubs are hot, the firewood is stacked, and a cozy cabin is waiting for you. 😊

It’s that time again— Old Time Christmas at the cabins. Our exceptional team (family) did an outstanding job dedicating their fall break to assisting us at the cabins. Trees are erected, Nativity Sets are arranged, lights are aglow. Now we just need your family to come enjoy Christmas with us in Branson.

☀️ Summer’s winding down… but the fun isn’t!
We’ve loved seeing all the amazing photos our guests have shared this season — thank you for making memories with us! 📸
Our big cabins are just a short walk to Thunder Ridge, and this weekend, the stage will be rocking with Hank Williams Jr. 🎶 Due to a last-minute cancellation, we do have our Ozark Legends Lodge available for concert night — so if you’ve been thinking about making it a getaway, now’s your chance!
We also still have a few late summer dates open, plus cozy fall stays where you can enjoy cooler temps, fewer crowds, and the beauty of the Ozarks in autumn. 🍂
📍 Smaller cabins near Silver Dollar City — perfect for the Southern Gospel Picnic starting soon!
📅 Book your getaway now — whether you’re here for the music, the scenery, or just some much-needed R&R, we’d love to host you!

When I was growing up, my dad always had a bottle tree in our yard. I was honestly a little embarrassed by it. When Charles and I traveled in South Carolina last winter, we were told about the bottle trees, which have an origin in Gullah and African tradition. It's believed evil spirits are attracted to the colorful bottles and then trapped in them. So, Cabin Friends, what do you think about cabin yard decor?🤣🤣
