We had 9” on top of our hot tub this morning.
We are expecting more Wednesday- Friday.
Breck’s opening day is this Friday. (Keystone was Saturday).
The season has actually really begun. Can’t wait for our fire pit to disappear till June.

Mid-October: Keystone
November 8: Breckenridge
November 15: Vail
November 22: Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Whistler Blackcomb
November 27: Beaver Creek & Crested Butte

Do you have your ski passes yet???
They go up soon, then once they open you can not buy season passes only # of day passes- ski 4 days & pass is CHEAPER
Although day passes now are available cheaper than during season.
We recommend Summit Pass for those not coming Christmas week.
If you’re military- their military season pass is equivalent to 1 day of pass- so get it if you’re coming.

Today's hike.. almost to our road & our beagle spooks this away I think from its babies bc it chanced us away from the 4 Pine trees - I was trying to put the trees between us but it absolutely didn’t want us close to it. Badgers are not nice but especially if you go close to its little ones.

Today’s lunch visitors… so love seeing the whole family just walking & eating their way there our backyard.

Yesterday we had 2 visitors about 9:15 am.
The day before we saw them from our neighbors yard. Delphi barked at them- they walked off. About 10:30 am they came back (made Delphi kennel so they could eat in peace)- one is the most majestic mule deer I’ve seen here. And yes he ate some of my wild flowers.
They remind me this is why I’m here. While I love skiing- the wildlife ground me.
God is so good. All the time.

Tonight we went to the “Festival in the clouds”…
Alma is the highest town in N America. It’s literally 4 miles from our home.

It was what I expected but we met some friends!
Btw I need this shirt- HINT HINT to whoever might buy it for me.

Since I’ve been on an American theme song I was wondering what were some lesser known American songs.
Of course dear Dolly Parton was on the list.
I enjoyed her definition of what the colors of the flag.
I hope you enjoy the song & stay on for her prayer for America at the end.

Your A Grand Ol’ Flag

We recently got our flag hung up at this home. 🇺🇸
I love our country. The diverse weather blows my mind. Today it’s now (8:30am) 42 degrees out. The clouds/ fog has set in heavy as we have no wind. High today is 52 degrees.
Sure beats the rest of the country that’s hitting at least 90.
