This trip to Grand Beavers Lodge, we decided to take the ATV’s along Peru Creek - near Montezuma.

The snow is still melting but in a few weeks all trails will be accessible. Gorgeous views! The abandoned mine you see (Pennsylvania Mine) was built in 1879 and produced everything from gold to silver to lead, copper and zinc, making it one of the most profitable mines of its time. In 1893 it produced a whopping 7,000 tons of iron ore!

The area is wonderful to hike as well!
